A sausage sizzle (pre-order only) will also be available for lunch. If you have not yet returned your money and permission note, please return them to your class teacher as soon as possible. Parent Parking We are asking parents to be aware of the limited space that we have available at the school for parking. Parents are reminded that the Staff Car Park should not be used by parents for the dropping off or collecting of children from the school. That parking space is for staff only. We also need to be aware that the businesses that we share Union Street with also need parking spaces outside their places of work. Parents should be aware that the Hopes Cordials Carpark is for customers only. Parents who need to park near the school for longer periods are encouraged to use the parking area on the road near the ‘Little House’ and behind the two demountable buildings. The ‘pick- up’ and ‘drop-off’ area at the end of the road behind the demountable buildings is a great way to collect your children quickly and safely. In the afternoons, we ask parents who wish to remain in their car, to use the turning bay in front of the back gates for collecting their children, rather than having children run across what is a very busy road near the ‘Little House’. No one wants to be involved in an accident involving a child and a car. We appreciate your support! As always, we ask parents to take great care when driving near the school, an accident of this nature is something that we would all like to avoid. Last Wednesday saw a hall filled with grandparents and other family members for a wonderful Infants’ Concert to celebrate our school’s Grandparent’s Day. My sincere thanks to all those who were able to attend; to the teachers who made a wonderful concert, the children who performed so very well and to the canteen for a wonderful lunch AND of course, our Grandparents who made the day. Happy Senior Citizens Week! We wish Mrs Acunzo a fantastic stint on Long Service Leave, she will be away for the rest of this term and we welcome Mr Stevenson who will be taking 3/ 4 A until the end of term. Our New school fence will be complete by the end of this week. There have been a few inconveniences, but the end result is certainly worth it. My thanks to the Department of Communities for funding this project. Principal’s Message
