In Automotive Technology, students learn the functions and operational systems of vehicles, as well as how to diagnose and repair them. Instruction includes accepted diagnostic and repair procedures
using modern equipment updated to industry standards. Care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles are stressed
throughout the program, in addition to safety procedures.The CPT Certification addresses the core technical competencies of higher skilled production workers in all sectors of manufacturing.
MSSC awards certificates to individuals who pass any of its Production Modules: Safety; Quality Practices & Measurement; Manufacturing
Processes & Production; Maintenance Awareness; and Green Production and a full Certified Production Technician (CPT) Certifica-tion to those who pass all four original modules (NOTE: At this time,
Green is not a requirement for full CPT certification).

Career Technical Education Pathways:Maintenance and Light Repair- The Maintenance and Light Repair pathway is for students wanting
to pursue employment in express service light repair and maintenance positions at dealerships and independent repair shops. The curriculum covers both theory and shop training with an emphasis on service
and minor repair.Automotive Collision Repair- The Automotive Collision Repair pathway is for students that wish to pursue careers that focus on how the automobile is built and what tools and equipment are needed to repair it. The program provides experience working on wrecked or damaged vehicles, providing situations found in a typical collision repair shop for hands-on experience. The student learns various techniques used to restore a
damaged vehicle to its pre-accident condition.
