LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK WHAT DO

YOU FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT?

Media Evaluation Question 7

PRELIMINARY TASK Looking back at my preliminary task I have realised how much I have learnt through software systems such as Adobe Photoshop CS3/CS6 and Adobe InDesign, for example.

My skills at putting a magazine together have developed, from using Microsoft word and Microsoft Publisher to using Photoshop instead and actually editing my photos instead of leaving them just normal.

ADOBE INDESIGN

My knowledge on how to use Adobe InDesign has expanded.

I have learnt what each tool is and how to use it and I have learnt techniques, on how to view my magazine on my blog, and export InDesign creations onto Photoshop to use as my masthead and so on.

The most important thing I have learnt it how to make my magazine and work look professional and to understand how it will best appeal to my target audiences.

I have learnt how to design and structure my layout to make the magazine look authentic and like a proper magazine.

Since creating my preliminary task of a school magazine I have gone into more depth to research and plan my magazine, meaning the complexity of my work and layout has increased.

Overall, my knowledge of the software has improved throughout the entire course, of research, planning and construction, by learning them new skills to make my magazine look like a genuine one.
