Howdy from the President Hello Super FHSC Members!
September was quite a busy month, wasn’t it? We had a fabulous time at our FIRST luncheon of the year. We were thrilled to have such a star-spangled turn out, despite the rain. We also had the privilege of opening the 8th location of Operation Deploy Your Dress right here at Fort Hood on September 14th. We are so proud to help carry on ODYD’s mission, and we are looking forward to redeploying dresses to all military ID cardholders who need formalwear. Please visit their Facebook page (Fort Hood-Operation Deploy Your Dress) for more info on donating, volunteering, and shopping!
Many of our sub-clubs have already had their first meeting, and many more are scheduled soon. We are so proud to offer such a wide variety this year. If you have not joined one, please check them out. There is bound to be something to interest everyone. This is a great way to get to know other members who share your interests.
Who is excited that it is October? I know I am looking forward to all things FALL – especially our October Luncheon on October 14. You can come in costume as your favorite Hero or Villain, or not – costumes are not required. Please be sure to RSVP NO LATER THAN NOON on October 9th because you do not want to miss all the FUN – lunch, friends, vendors, and prizes!
