Look at What I AteContributed by: Ed Rubesch
Lecturer, Thammasat Business School, Thammasat University, Thailand
This is a creativity exercise we ran recently at the International MBA Program at Thammasat University in Bangkok, Thailand
Look What I Ate…
The title of the exercise is a play on the words create, innovate, motivate, and activate, implying both ideas and action. Students were asked to portray key milestones of their life on their shirts.
Look What I Ate…
It was also used as a way to get people (who were all new entrants to the program) to get to know each other. The following day, students had to explain their shirts to each other.
Look What I Ate…
To reinforce the eating and
doing theme, students also
cooked dinner that night…
Look What I Ate…
The following slides were used during the exercise…
Photos of some of the T-shirts follow.

Record the milestones of your life so far…
Things that make you happyThings that you are
good at
Significant events in the last 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, (30?) years
People and ideas that have shaped you.
Look What I Ate…
You need to wear your T-shirt tomorrow (and in some activities during the future.)
Don’t let this inhibit you (be proud!)
But think about how you design the visual messages to tell your story.
Feel free to help each other in any way.
