Loknete Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil (Padma Bhushan Awardee) Pravara Rural Education Society,
Pravaranagar was established by the Pioneer of Cooperative Society in Asia, Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao
Vikhe Patil in 1964, with the aim of bringing quality in the lives of rural people through education. He
fiercely advocated Women Empowerment in those days and the education society upholds his values
and beliefs even today.
Over the past five decades, the education society has set up 102 institutions imparting quality
education ranging from KG to Ph.D under the exemplary vision of Padmabhushan Awardee Late Dr.
Balasaheb Vikhe Patil.
The Organisation is transforming education by incorporating latest changes as per the need of
the hour. We believe in providing quality education while upholding moral ethos. Over the past five
decades, we have a strong alumni network of over 1,29,000 alumni. In tune with our belief that Pravara is
a family, we have started the initiative of actively connecting with our Alumni on both National and
International levels. The Alumni have been instrumental through engaging their expertise in moulding

Pravara Rural Education Society (PRES) as a part of its aim to impart quality training in all the fields of education and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Nashik as a part of its Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) have signed an MoU to jointly impart training in the field of Aviation. The institute is located at HAL, Nashik premises. Currently Pravara Rural Education Society's HAL-Pravara Aviation Institute offers courses in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering & B.Sc. Aeronautics. The institute has been approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India and affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
The course consists of Theoretical & Practical Training. The duration of AME & B.Sc. Aeronautics course is three years split into 6 equal semesters of six months each. For AME four semesters will be conducted in the institute and the practical training will be carried out at reputed airlines, whereas for B.Sc. Aeronautics, first to four semesters will be conducted by the institute and last two semesters will be conducted and degree will be awarded by the University of Mumbai.

PRAVARA INSTITUTE OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Pravara Institute of Skill Development is an initiative by PRES towards development of skill amongst the youth, simultaneously benefitting them financially, in consonance with the Central Govt. & State Govt. skill development schemes viz, PMKVY and PMKVUA. A very small proportion of India's workforce has any formal skill training. In this context, skill development has become a key primacy area for our country. This is not only essential for economic development, but would help to achieve youthful aspirations for better remuneration, better job satisfaction and promising self-employment opportuni-ties. These courses will be conducted at all colleges of PRES & will be available free of cost to the students.
