The Desert Wind Project in Elizabeth City is the first ever wind project in the State of North Carolina! There will be 104 complete turbines which will make up 936 super loads, and we are shipping components from Morehead City and Edenton, North Carolina and Portsmouth, Virginia. (Top) Randy Mace (900525) leads the way with tower sections while (bottom) John Adams (900398) unloads a blade for the project. Randy has been with Lone Star since February 2007 and John has been with Lone Star since April 2013.

Brian has been with Lone Star since April 1994. (Below left) William Harris (900540) crosses the Oregon state line hauling a CAT body from Pharr, TX to Tacoma, WA. The total dimensions are 40’ long, 14’2” high and 9’ wide. William has been with Lone Star since December 2014. (Below right) Three coolers parked in Watford City, North Dakota. The drivers traveling together are Leon Diaz (350058), Fermin Reyes (350141), and Walter Rodriguez (350065). Leon has been with Lone Star since February 1997, Fermin since March 2010, and Walter since August 2002.

(Above) - Terry Pearson (900310) hauls a crusher from Charleston, South Carolina, to Aurora, Colorado. The overall dimensions were 51’ long, 10’ wide, 11’11” high and weighed 64,000 pounds. Terry has been with Lone Star since January 2016. (Below) - Kris VanNostran (900308) and Joe Brown (900306) haul coolers from Houston, Texas, to Midland, Texas. Each cooling unit load was 26’6” long, 11’10” wide and 16’3” high and weighed 30,000 pounds. Kris has been with Lone Star since January 2012 and Joe has been with Lone Star since February 2014.

(Above) - Ken Brock (7451) hauls a control station from Conroe, TX to Corpus Christi, TX. The overall dimensions were 155’ long, 20’ wide, 19’ high and weighed 254,000 pounds. Ken has been with Lone Star since December 2005. (Below) - John Heitzman (900558) is loaded with a Compressor Skid with a gross weight of 288,000 pounds. The skid was delivered from Houston TX, to Kermit, TX. The overall dimensions of the load were 112’ long, 16’ wide, and 16’6” high. John has been with Lone Star since September 1998.
