The decision to allow a student to perform clinicals is the sole discretion of the facility or service where the student is assigned for their clinical experience. The college holds no responsibility for finding a student with a positive background check a facility or service willing to accept them. Students must be aware that Texas Department of Health and Human Services conducts background checks on all applicants for certification and failure to disclose information can result in permanent prevention of certification by the State.
