Robert Atchison - Violin!was born in London and studied music from a young age. His teachers included Sheila Nelson, Bronsilaw Gimpel at the Royal Northern College of Music, Emmanuel Hurwitz at the Royal Academy of Music and Maurice Hasson. In 1982 he was a finalist in the Abbado International Competition in Milan, Italy. Mr. Atchison has given concerto performances and recitals in the USA, South America, the far East, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Ireland. In 1983 Mr. Atchison made his concerto debut at the Queen Elizabeth Hall playing the Beethoven concerto and in 1984 at the Barbican with the Vivaldi Four Seasons. He joined the Philharmonia Orchestra in 1984 and remained there until 1990. From 1991 to 1997 he was a member of all three orchestras of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, and was co-principal to Iona Brown. In 1993 he was appointed Director of the Spanish Chamber Orchestra, appearing frequently as soloist. Since then he has had a busy chamber and solo career. Mr. Atchison is Violinist with the critically acclaimed London Piano Trio and tours regularly with them throughout the UK, Germany, Spain and the Far East. Mr. Atchison’s recordings include the Telemann Twelve Fantasias and the complete Sonatas and Partitas of J. S. Bach for the Altamira label. The Seasons with Sir Michael Gambon

and many recordings with the London Piano Trio and duo recordings with Olga Dudnik.These include the complete violin and piano and trio works by Armstrong Gibbs and Donald Tovey. The complete Mendelsshon and Cotter Nixon trios will be released on the Guild label in 2012.He was Artistic Director with Renato Bossa of the International Music Series at the Certosa di Capri, Italy, from 2006-2009 and the Gibbs Music Festival in Danbury, Essex from 2008 to 2012.!Francis Rayner - Piano was born in Merthyr Tydfil in 1960, and started piano lessons at the age of six. Three years later, he won first prize in the Under-14 National Piano Competition. He then entered Chetham's School of Music, and studied piano with Fanny Waterman and Ryszard Bakst. Whilst there, he gave many solo recitals and performed a number of concertos, including Beethoven's 3rd with the Hallé Orchestra.While a pupil there he gained the LRAM performer's diploma at the age of sixteen, and entered the Royal Northern College of Music two years later. At College, he continued to perform extensively as a soloist as well as a chamber musician, visiting Prague and the Channel Islands, and graduated in professional performance.In 1982, he won major prizes in the Alessandro Casagrande competition in Terni and in the Claude Debussy competition in Paris. In 1983, he moved to London, where he benefited from the professional advice of Murray Perahia and Charles Rosen, and continued to perform and to teach both in the U.K and abroad, visiting Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and the U.S.A. He has also broadcast on Italian television, French radio and the B.B.C.In 1990, Francis moved to Sussex, where he is now regarded as one of the most distinguished musicians in the region. He lives in St Leonards-on-Sea, and, since he is also an accomplished chess player, he takes

an active part in the musical and chess life of the region, acquiring pupils in both fields. He has for many years been a member of the Welsh National chess team in events abroad, and has won the Hastings and St Leonards championship nine times. He has been associated with the prestigious Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition. He became a member of the London Piano Trio for their 2016.!David Jones - Cello was born in Shrewsbury. Although he began playing the cello from an early age he was initially drawn to the sciences and chose to read chemistry at Salford University before deciding to pursue a career as a 'cellist. He joined the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester under the tutelage of Moray Welsh. During this time he attended master classes in Perugia, Italy under David Geringas and also succeeded in becoming a finalist in the LSO Shell strings competition.After completing his degree David held the position of Co-Principal ‘Cello first in the Halle and then in the Philharmonia Orchestra where he played the solos on many recordings including Tchaikovsky’s 2nd piano concerto with Barry Douglas (piano) and the complete Vaughan Williams symphonies conducted by Leonard Slatkin. David was the ‘cellist in the London Ensemble from 1994 to 2005 and made regular trips to Japan to great critical acclaim. Apart from recitals and other chamber music concerts David has given performances of several works from the concerto repertoire including Dvorak, Boccherini, Brahms Double Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations.In 2002 David was appointed Associate Principal ‘Cello of the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden, and in the spring of 2009 he joined the London Piano Trio. !

Collaborations are an exciting andvibrant new string to our bow!

Robert’s seasons recording with Sir Michael Gambon has already received critical acclaim world wide, but the trio are also involved in collaborative work with famous Italian Film and Theatre Actress Milena Vukotic and Prima Ballerina Lisa Macuja Elizalde. !After joining the National Theatre, under the Artistic Directorship of Sir Laurence Olivier, Michael Gambon went on to appear in a number of leading roles in plays written by Alan Ayckbourn. His career was catapulted in 1980 when he took the lead role in John Dexter’s production of "Galileo". Since then, Gambon has regularly appeared at the Royal National Theatre and the RSC. Roles include, King Lear, Othello, Mark Anthony and Volpone. He was described by the late Sir Ralph Richardson as being "The Great Gambon" and he is now considered to be one of the British theatre's

leading lights. He was made a CBE in 1992 and received a Knighthood of the British Empire in the 1998 Queen's New Years Honors List for his services to drama.The role of Albus Dumbledore of the Harry Potter Movies has made him a household name worldwide. !!Lisa Macuja-Elizalde is a

Prima Ballerina. She is the first

Philippine ballerina,

and first foreign

soloist who ever joined the Kirov Ballet in 1984. In the Philippines, she is the Artistic Director of Ballet Manila and Vice-Chairman of the Philippine UNESCO National Commission. She was also the

Commissioner of the National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women. Macuja-Elizalde is also Directress and faculty member of the

Ballet Manila

School – a training center for

ballet professionals who are steeped in the Russian Vaganova

Vukotic is a former ballerina and a stage, television, and film actress. Vukotic was born in Rome , to a Serbian Montenegrian comediographer father and an Italian pianist/composer mother. Vukotic is known for her role of Pina in the Fantozzi series of comedy films. Additional screen credits include Arabella, The Adventurers, Blood for Dracula, The Phantom of Liberty, Monsignor, Juliet of the Spirits and A

Good Woman.

She had a recurring role on the

French television series Une famille formidable.
