Is London Calling You?

If you are anything like us, you love London, the fantastic capital city of Great Britain. Whether it’s

culture, sport, nightlife, shopping or a fun day out, London has something for everyone so it’s easy to

see why the 2012 Olympics are heading to London and 2012 is the year of the UK.

As part of the numerous celebrations taking place, the BBC, as patriotic as they are, are helping to

promote London with a new campaign entitled ‘London Calling’. The celebration of all things British

this year is attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists to the great city for the Jubilee celebrations,

Wimbledon, the Olympics or just to discover what this city has to offer and we can certainly vouch

for it. But now we are far away and miss London a lot. Even more so now that the London calling

BBC advert is out. We really do want to travel back and have lots of fun with everyone. It’s rained

quite a lot but we know it will brighten up for July and August and will be the best Summer ever.

With a host of festivals, shows and of course, the Olympics, the BBC London calling advert is

attempting to attract visitors from far and wide and with its portrayal of a vibrant city, lighting up to

the music of “Lights” by Ellie Goulding, it’s working.

We are so jealous of our counterparts in the UK right now but we will just have to watch it all on TV.
