Park in Berlin
Berlin has many apartment houses in the centre. The DDR still has its markings in the houses of Berlin, in Berlin Mitte there are still some buildings in the style of the DDR.
On the other side every sector in Berlin has its own style. Eastern Berlin has many “Plattenbauten”.Whilst west Berlin has many of its famous landmarks.Berlin also has may parks and lakes. In comparison to London it is “greener”.
London Architecture
• Common houses
• Gherkin
• Walkie-Talkie
London’s houses outside the centre are built in a clear structure. One street usually as a variety of single houses all standing with the same space between them. The single houses usually have the same structure: there is a front door, next to it is a window which goes little into the yard. Sometimes the door has a porch door.
The centre of London is variously designed with buildings of many famous architects for example the “Gherkin” designed by Norman Foster or the “walkie -talkie” by Rafael Vinoly.
