Tower Bridge Tower Bridge is one of London's

most well known landmarks.  Opened in 1894, this hydraulic bridge can be raised to permit river traffic to pass underneath.

Visitors to Tower Bridge can enjoy wonderful views of the River Thames from the bridge towers. There is also a museum which explain how the bascule bridge operates and discusses its history.  Tower Bridge is often incorrectly referred to as London Bridge.  London Bridge, however, is a different bridge that is located directly upstream from Tower Bridge.

Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is undoubtedly the most well known palace in the world.  It is the official residence of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.  Guided tours of the palace are available during the summer months when the Queen is out of town. Buckingham Palace is located in Westminster, near Green Park and St. James Park.

London Eye British Airways' London

Eye is a 450 foot wheel that is located across the Thames River from the heart of London.  Visitors can enjoy a spectacular view from the top of the world's largest wheel.  Many tourists to London England like to visit this attraction in the evening hours when London glitters with lights. The London Eye is located in London SE1 (Southwark).

River Thames The River Thames is undoubtedly one of the world's most famous waterways.  This mighty river meanders through central London and provides visitors with great views of London's wonderful architecture.

Tourists can stroll the promenade along the south shore of the river and take some great photographs of Westminster.  A number of attractions including the London Eye, Dali Universe and London Aquarium are located along the south shore.

Visitors to London can also take a boat tour along the Thames. Ferries sail from the city centre to Greenwich Park and other London destinations.

Westminster Cathedral

Westminster Cathedral is the ornate Roman Catholic cathedral in London. Its unique architecture attracts visitors from around the world.Westminster Cathedral is located in SW1 in the City of Westminster.

St. Paul's Cathedral

Trafalgar Square Trafalgar Square is undoubtedly the heart of London.  Nelson's Column is located in the centre of this world-famous square which was established to commemorate Britain's most famous naval hero, Horatio Viscount Nelson, who died in the battle of Trafalgar in 1805.London's National Gallery Art Museum is located at Trafalgar Square.  Whitehall runs from Trafalgar Square to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
