Statement of Purpose: To work in environments which require innovation and creativity; facilitating the successful implementation of corporate goals by fostering collaborative working environments that enhance the best aspects of human talent.

Summary of Relevant Experience: Lola Audu has demonstrated leadership and innovation in several key areas of the real estate industry on local, regional, state and national levels. Elected as the first minority President in the history of the Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS in 2011, she successfully led the Association through one of the most challenging economic downturns and initiated a number of programs to foster growth and expansion including, the Association Leadership Program and an International Taskforce to explore regional and international cooperation.

During her term, a 20 year stalemate was broken and the Association joined forces with 12 area Associations to create a regional distribution of MLS data which enhanced business opportunities for the Members. As an owner of Audu Real Estate, the company has successfully negotiated millions of dollars in concessions for clients who have required assistance with a Distress/Short Sales since 2005.

As a trainer and speaker, she has written over 700 articles about the real estate industry and has been featured over 140 times on the nation’s largest real estate blogging platform, Active Rain. Lola has also contributed articles/commentaries for the National Association of REALTORS magazine. In 2013, Governor Rick Snyder appointed her to the Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons. In 2014, she will be serving in a strategic advisory role for the Women’s Council of REALTORS and on the National Association of REALTORS Social Media Advisory Committee.
