Chelsea Petosa Spring 2013 Project 3: Logotypes Project Description: Students investigate company and organizational brands that make use of trademarks designed with letterforms, initials, numbers or combinations of these. No pictures or images will be used for this project. Students will sort their acquired trademarks into the following categories; technology, culture, entertainment, environment and energy. Students then name and design 5 new company or organizational names by first writing mission and core value statements. After the naming process is completed students then design 5 logotypes and positioning statements using only typography. Each logotype will have accompanying color palettes using a maximum of 2 colors plus black. Format: optimized PDF presentation, 1180 x 666 pixels, RGB color model, horizontal (landscape) orientation, 72 ppi.
