USAGE RULES AND GUIDELINES

“VacciNation: Own your life” is a public service campaign aimed at

increasing public education and awareness of the Covid-19 vaccination

programme. It is supported by the National Department of Health

and is specifically designed to be easily adopted and co-branded by

approved organisations and businesses.

LOGO

PRIMARY LOGO

The primary logo comprises of the unique ‘vaccination’ logotype with the ‘o’ created by a globe graphic, and

the ‘Own your life’ slogan. The composite is a fixed element, and no part thereof may be edited or altered in

any way, other than those options presented in this document and with prior approval (see pg 24).

COLOURS

BASIC RULES

Do not alter the logo colours

Do not alter the logotype

Do not add a shadow

to the logo

Do not distort the logo

Do not remove or edit

any part of the logo

Do not allow any external design

element to obstruct the logo

Do not apply any colour

or 3-D effects to the logo

without the slogan

Do not place the logo on a background

that compromises its legibility

PARTNERSHIP LOGO CUSTOMISATION

The logo’s two colours may be changed to match an approved parter business or organisation’s corporate

identity, using the following methodology: COLOUR 1, being the more dominant of the two colour options, is

used for ‘nation’ logotype, the globe icon, and the ‘Own your life’ slogan. COLOUR 2, being the more recessive

of the two colour options, is used for ‘vacci’ logotype. NB: The same logo rules as per the primary logo apply.

CAMPAIGN

A set of four A2 posters and an A7 fold-out leaflet in all 11 official

languages has been designed for the campaign. Both assets can be

adopted and adapted (as per the guidelines in this document) by

approved partner organisations and businesses.

There are four A2 posters, each translated into all 11 official South African languages. Open files are supplied in InDesign.

A7 FOLD-OUT LEAFLET

There is one A7 fold-out leaflet, translated into all 11 official South African languages. Open files are supplied in InDesign.

You may use the poster artwork as is and just add your logo.

You may add your logo and change the colour palette of the poster and campaign logo to suit your corporate identity.

You may also adjust the colours of the models’ clothing to match the layout. You may scale the artwork up to A1 or A0.

NB: THESE ARE THE ONLY CHANGES PERMITTED. NO text edits or further layout changes are permitted

and the positioning of the NDoH logo is fixed.

PERMISSION & APPROVAL

You are welcome to use the posters and leaflets included in this document, and to

also use the “VacciNation” logo on other marketing materials. However, in order

to maintain the integrity of the campaign, we request that you confirm all final

designs and usage with us in order to gain approval prior to production. You can

do so by emailing your designs to Corné Kritzinger at [email protected]

The “VacciNation” logo, slogan, posters and leaflet or any element thereof may

be not be shared, circulated or reproduced in any form without without prior

consent obtained from Corné Kritzinger at [email protected]

NB: The use of the National Department of Health logo is exclusive to the poster

and leaflet designs and may not be used on any other marketing material.

Furthermore, the National Department of Health logo should not be used on any

material bearing the logo of alcohol, tobacco or sugary drinks products.
