LOCRE ASSESSMENT REPORT

The following report describes the results of drilling two diamond drill holes on the Locre and Liny Fraction Crown Granted Mineral Claims near Sullivan Mine in Kimberley. DDH 6450 was drilled to a depth of 296 metres on the Locre Crown Granted Mineral Claim and DDH 6455 was drilled to a depth of 373 metres on the Liny Fraction Crown Granted Mineral Claim.

INTRODUCTION

1. SPECIFIC LOCATION

DDH 6450 is located 1200 metres west of the Sullivan open pit. DDH 6455 is located on the east margin of the Sullivan mine.

2. PROPERTY DEFINITION

The property being investigated forms part of the Sullivan Mine claim group, owned by Cominco Ltd. Cominco has operated the mine for about 75 years. The Sullivan stratiform Ag-Pb-Zn-Fe sulphide deposit is one of the most important of its type worldwide and has contributed significantly to the mineral wealth gener- ated in the province of British Columbia.

3. DRILLING

e Two holes are being reported on. Both were drilled using N wireline tools, 7.6 cm in diameter. DDH 6450 was drilled with a dip of -58 degrees on azimuth 090 degrees to a depth of 296 metres and DDH 6455 was drilled with a dip of -80 degrees on azimuth 300 degrees to a depth of 373 metres.

4. CLAIMS EXPLORED

DDH 6450 was drilled on the Locre Crown Granted Mineral Claim. DDH 6455 was drilled on the Liny Fraction Crown Granted Mineral Claim.

DETAILED TECHNICAL DATA AND INTERPRETATION

1. DDH 6450

A. PURPOSE

The purpose of DDH 6450 was to test an electromagnetic conductor west of Sul- livan mine.

B. RESULTS

A series of pyrrhotite veinlets from 244 to 247 metres is interpreted to be the down dip extension of the electromagnetic conductor. This intersection is about 120 metres below the subcrop surface.

Overburden Lower Aldridge Formation sedimentary rocks as follows: Wacke, thinly laminated. Quartzitic wacke and wacke, medium to thick bedded. Wacke, thinly laminated. Quartzitic wacke and wacke, medium to thick bedded; and wacke and subwacke, thin bedded to laminated. Wacke, thin bedded and laminated. Quartzitic wacke, wacke and subwacke, medium to thin bed- ded. Subwacke, thin bedded, some medium bedded. Quartzitic wacke, medium to thick bedded. Subwacke with some quartzitic wacke, laminated to medium bedded; quartzitic wacke is medium to thick bedded. Quartzitic wacke, medium to thick bedded.

D. CONCLUSION

DDH 6450 was drilled in bedded sediments of the Lower Aldridge Formation. No mineralization of economic value was intersected. The target geophysical anom- aly was a network of pyrrhotite veinlets from 244 to 247 metres.

2. DDH 6455

A. PURPOSE

The purpose of DDH 6455 was to provide a pilot hole for a ventilation shaft. Because about 40 percent of the cost of the hole was provided by exploration funds so that core could be obtained, that proportion of the cost is being applied as assessment work. DDH 6455 is the only wireline core hole drilled from surface through the hanging wall sequence, through the orebody and into the footwall and, as such, is the only core hole with near to complete core recovery through these rocks. The hole is reported on in its entirety.

A complete intersection of the Sullivan hangingwall sequence and of the Sullivan Eastern Ore sequence was obtained.

C. INTERPRETATION

0 - 262m Middle Aldridge Formation: Quartzitic wacke with about 40 percent wacke, subwacke and argillite. Medium to light grey, thick and medium bedded with numerous thin-bedded to lami- nated intervals.

262 - 306m Sullivan hangingwall stratigraphic sequence. Wacke, medium grey, very thick bedded, beds grade from fine to very fine sand size. Pyrrhotite is present as laminations and dissem- inations.

306 - 321m Sullivan ore sequence. 321 - 329m Pyrrhotite laminated footwall: uniform subwacke with pyrrho-

tite laminations. 329 - 373m Lower Aldridge Formation: wacke with about 25 percent sub-

wacke and argillite, medium to light grey, medium and thin bedded.

D. CONCLUSION

DDH 6455 was drilled in bedded sediments of the Middle and Lower Aldridge Formations. The east fringe of the Sullivan orebody was intersected.
