Cooperation:
Sediment trap moorings are deployed next to each mooring array, 2 traps, bottom & ~250 m above bottom, also fitted with T sensors
Matter flux and re-suspension with 10-20 day resolution.
The OSC next week will give presentations of all LOCO sites!
Problems encountered
• Large number of ADCP failures (power and data storage)
• Processing proceeds too slow, lack of experienced manpower
•Therefore no data are available yet via Internet
Future
• After 2008 a reduced mooring set in Mozambique Channel
• After 2008 only 1 mooring near center of Irminger Sea
Remaining problem: funding after 2008!
