As many of our 8th grade boys already know, the bathroom was torn up Tuesday. Boys will no longer have access to that bathroom, and Mrs. Brower says only boys who have doctors' notes are to be excused to the restroom--and they have to go to the office! May I suggest if you have classes on other halls and near band or P.E., use them while you have the chance. No teachers will be writing you passes. The office has been suspending students lately for misbehavior and is cracking down because things are getting out of hand. Tighten up!
All library books are DUE! (They were due last week!)
Several students had completed their resumes on time but had misspelled my name in the e-mail address, so I never got them. Pay attention to details! They matter!

"The Number" vs. "A Number"
The expression the number is followed by a singular verb while the expression a number is followed by a plural verb.Examples:The number of people we need to hire is thirteen.A number of people have written in about this subject.
Review, followed by test. You have several subject-verb agreement questions on your EQT next week!
Be silent during tests! Duh.
