LocationsWhere we plan to/have filmed…Problems-The weather, and the fact at 5 each day id run out of time
Rendlesham ForestRendlesham forest had a huge amount of forestry from, with a wide variety of hills and trees. For my opening these seemed like an excellent choice of where to film. Since there was so much variety of shots I could take. I was limited by how far we could walk from the car since it would get dark soon every day we went filming. However the places we found were worth it. I found I didn’t have to scout through the forest to find good shots because I felt it would be more spontaneous and realistic If I looked at the storyboard shots, then found places into eh forest that looked similar to that, or places I could just film. This saved time but kept the look realistic.
I filmed in the huge forest, throughout a variety of places
Foxhall heathFoxhall heath is a smaller expanse of forest close to were I lived which was appropriate because I didn’t have to travel far nor scout it out because since I live practically in it, I knew were most good places to film were. For the scenes were I needed to climb trees, or use trees further apart I used the heath. This also meant that if there was a clip I didn’t like I wouldn’t have to go back to film it again.
I filmed in the forest and on fields of bracken
Needham lakesNeedham lakes, for what I saw is a large lake with a river winding around it. I scouted out this place first because it was reasonably close, and since there was such a variety of places I could film from it seemed best to scout out a good area to film the scene. I did find a place that looked like the edge of a forest peering onto the edge of a river. It had a small riverbank which was great to use to find the object in my film because it looked natural.
I filmed on a riverbank along the river gipping
