City-Cairo
Reason of choosing Cairo (Egypt)
Cairo, Egypt, the Triumphant City, known officially as al-Qahirah is one of the world's largest urban areas and offers many sites to see. It is the administrative capital of Egypt and, closes by, is almost every Egypt Pyramid, such as the Great Pyramids of Giza on the very edge of the city. But there are also ancient temples, tombs, Christian churches, magnificent Muslim monuments, and of course, the Egyptian Antiquities Museum all either within or nearby the city.
Cairo, Egypt is an amazing city full of life and movement, and it is that way almost 24 hours every day, with the noisy honking of horns, children playing in the streets and merchants selling their wears and services. And here, the Egyptians are most at home in this powerful, modern and ancient city
Cairo, Egypt provides great culture, including art galleries and music halls, such as the Cairo
Opera House, as well it should, being one of the largest cities in the world. It also provides some of the grandest accommodations and restaurants in the world, such as the Four Seasons and the Cairo Marriott.
Cairo offers an incredible selection of shopping, leisure and nightlife activities. Shopping ranges from the famous Khan el-Khalili souk, (or bazaar) largely unchanged since the 14th century, to modern air-conditioned centers displaying the latest fashions. All the bounty of the East can be here. Particularly good buys are spices, perfumes, gold, silver, carpets, brass and copperware, leatherwork, glass, ceramics and mashrabiya. Try some of the famous street markets, like Wekala al-Balaq, for fabrics, including Egyptian cotton, the Tentmakers Bazaar for appliqué-work, and Mohammed Ali Street for musical instruments and, although you probably won't want to buy, the Camel Market makes a fascinating trip. This is, and has been for over a thousand years, truly a shopper's paradise.

Egypt is rich with many museums holding collections of its rich treasures. The first museum, the Egyptian Museum was ordered by Mohamed Ali in Al-Azbaquia and in 1858 August Mariette built the museum in Bulaq , which opened in 1863 . In 1902 the present museum was built with about 120,000 objects on display, and several hundred thousand are still in the vaults. It's situated at Tahrir Square in Cairo , built during the reign of Khedive Abbass Helmi II in 1897 , and opened on November 15, 1902 . With 107 halls at the ground floor, there are huge statues and in the upper floor houses small statues, jewels, Tutankhamon treasures and the mummies. The Museum also comprises a photography division and a large library.
Located on a high hill that overlooks the old city of Cairo , t he construction of the Citadel of Saladin was started by King Saladin in 1170 A.D , and completed by his brother, King El-Addel . Built to protect the old city of Cairo, it consists enclosure walls and watchtowers, as well as countless gates.
Giza
Pyramids of Giza
And perhaps there is nothing more mysterious, and more worthy of seeing in Egypt than the esteemed Great Pyramids of Giza. These are the pyramids of Khufu, Kafhre, and Menkaura. These perfectly shaped structures leaves everyone in awe and in wonder about how exactly they were made, considering that the ancient Egyptians had no advanced technology to work with.

Religious literature is best known for its hymns to various gods and its mortuary texts. The oldest extant Egyptian literature is the Pyramid Texts: the mythology and rituals carved around the tombs of rulers.
During the Greco-Roman period (332 BC − AD 639), Egyptian literature was translated into other languages, and Greco-Roman literature fused with native art into a new style of writing. From this period comes the Rosetta stone, which became the key to unlocking the mysteries of Egyptian writing to modern scholarship.
The first modern Egyptian novel Zaynab by Muhammad Husayn Haykal was published in 1913 in the Egyptian vernacular.
Ancient Egyptian religion was a polytheistic system that saw the world as in conflict between
forces of order and chaos. The Pharaoh, representative of order on Earth, was seen as divine and
descended of the falcon god Horus. There was a strong cult of resurrection in the next life
centered on the god Osiris.
