I will be film here in Thomas Tallis School, just outside the science department for my first advert and on the concourse for my second advert. It’s good because all of the cast and crew in this advert will be around this location most of the day, also all the equipment needed will also be stored around this area so there’s no transport restrictions. Also the fact that there are only three location that are close together means there won’t be a lot of moving between locations.

I will be filming this advert at an earlier time of the day so it won’t look like this. The actors will be easier to spot and there will be less attention on the inside of the classrooms, which will add to the surprise of the attack in the advert. This location is good because it has access to first aid on site and in case of emergency has quick access to the fire department and the school covers the call out costs.

I will be filming this advert in lesson time when we have a media lesson so there will be less people around because they’ll be in lesson and because people will be inside there will also be less sound interference. The trouble though is that we will lose about 5 or 10 minutes of potential filming time because of change over time between lessons. Also we have some safety hazards such as the victim

character falling on the concrete floor. And outside the science department there could be some open windows that actors could bump into and it could restrict filming if it blows open by the wind. It’s good for if it rains because it’s less than a minute to get indoors and a few minutes from it’s storage.

my third location is just outside the school. It’s good because it’s close to the other locations so it’s close to where the cast and crew will be. It’s has close first aid access. Some negatives are that when it rains it will take longer to get inside. These overhead images where taken when the new school was being constructed so you can’t see the bid maraue we can hide under incase of rain. Also the tree’s will cause shadow so I’ve had to fit camera angles around that. I will need to stop the taffic when the person is crossing the road but the person crossing the road stops the traffic or waits for the traffic to stop in advert so it’s written into the script. I will have to wait for a time when there’s no traffic because traffic will be distracting from the advert. Also the hard surface might cause injury to the actor who plays the victim when he get’s knocked down. I will also be filming when it’s summy and when in lesson time, when a lot of peope are inside and out of the way. But it’s harder to predict and control people outside of school because there could be passers by and lots of people from another school, different places could have different lunch times. But I think it’s a good location to film.
