Welcome to Shipbuilders Credit Union presents: Lakeshore Weekend! This is our 26th year and what a celebration we have planned! There will be live entertainment all weekend
long and no cover charge for admission. Other highlights of this fun-filled weekend include the ever-popular dragon boat races all day on Saturday and the 5k Color Fun Run/Walk for Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin on Sunday morning. There is still time for your and your friends/family to sign up for the 5k walk/run and enjoy our beautiful lakeshore area while helping a great cause at the same time! An important part of this event is our Patient Family Tribute that will be held on Sunday, August 7nd at 12:30pm. This tribute reminds us of the reason why we do what we do for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Please join us as we listen to local families share their personal experiences. We also have our new Miss Wisconsin 2016, Manitowoc native Courtney Pelot, joining us on Sunday afternoon!
As we mentioned, this is our 26th year, with a total of more than $1,390,000 donated to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and all we can say is “WOW!” What an amazing experience this has been! The key component to the success of this event, and what continues to amaze us year after year, is the generosity of our community. How can you help? Whether you bring the kids to play a few of the children’s games, row as a part of a dragon boat team, or stop down for omelets and pancakes on Sunday morning, know that you make a difference in the lives of the more than 2,500 children from Manitowoc County who use the services of Children’s Hospital each year!

Message from Mike Steimle:Shipbuilders Credit Union presents Lakeshore Weekend is proud to be celebrating its 26th anniversary!
We are honored to share the responsibility of coordinating this weekend-long event with an incredible committee and to be a part of the continued fundraising efforts for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Together with our lakeshore community, we raised more than $68,000 in 2015, bringing the 25 year total to over $1,390,000! We could not reach those outstanding numbers without community support and the generosity of our Miracle Worker, Champion, Hero and Supporter sponsors; your monetary donations are the foundation of this event!
As a part of our commitment to “giving back” to the community, Shipbuilders Credit Union is once again extremely proud to be the presenting sponsor of this event. In this our 8th year, our SCU volunteers are rejuvenated and ready to go! Our staff will be bartending Friday night so be sure to stop out and say “hello” and listen to The Cougars.
