Power Quality Analyzer

PQA stands for Power Quality Analyzer

The LocalGrid PQA is a software product, that runs on the National Instruments Grid Automation Controller

Measure power quality and energy features to IEC, EN, and IEEE standards

Harmonics (IEC 61000-4-7) and Flicker (IEC 61000-4-15)

Phasor measurement unit (C37.118)

Sag/swell/interruption with standard or custom levels (IEC 61000-4-30)

Rapid voltage change with standard or custom levels (IEC 61000-4-30)

Data and events can be visualized, logged, and mappedinto SCADA through a configuration tool


Dual sourced, four-phase voltage and current inputs plus neutral

Time synchronization via GPS, NTP, or IEEE 1588 PTP

Power quality metrics including RMS, power, energy, unbalance, flicker, power factor, and THD up to the 40th harmonic

Detection and logging of power quality events including sags, swells, interruptions, and rapid voltage changes

Inbound multi-protocol translation Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, Others..

The Data Concentrator can be mapped to SCADA, acting as an intermediary between field deployed devices and SCADA

Security can be managed effectively that way

Data can be retrieved on demand via the LocalGrid PQA Client Application

Data Concentrator is software based and can run on any Windows based PC or Server
