Consulate General of Turkey in New York announces a Request forProposals (RFP) in search of offers for a Demolition Contractor to carry outthe entire demolition of the current "Turkevi Center Building" and thetownhouse located at 821 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017Block 1338, Lots 30, 31 and 32. Demolition work will include hazardousmaterial handling (abatement/remediation), material salvage/recycling,site work, utility work, building decontamination, mold control and dustcontrol.

RUMC plans to enter into anagreement with one (1) A&E firmwith demonstrated expertise instorm water drainage hazardmanagement and construction;with the ability to meet RUMCproject objectives, and withprofessional experience with andknowledge and understanding ofNYC Building Codes, NYC ZoningOrdinance, NYC Department ofEnvironmental Protection, NYSDivision of Homeland Securityand Emergency Management-FEMA, and any other necessaryregulations to provide designservices and constructionadministration/managementservices for this project. A&E firmsare also encouraged to includeteam members with relevantFEMA-NYS DHSES mitigationexpertise. The A&E firm willprovide all necessary documentsand design services including bidspecifications, contractdocuments, permits, approvalsand constructionadministration/managementservices for the project for anestimated period of 2- 3 years.
