ThecoursewillbedeliveredentirelyinEnglishandisaimedspecificallyatprimary

teacherswishingtoimprovetheirlanguageskills.

Thecourseisnotsuitableforcompletebeginnersanditisexpectedthatattendees

will prepare for the course by revisiting their current knowledge of English to

ensuretheycancommunicateatatleastabasiclevel.

Thecourseaimsto:

ImproveprimaryteacherscompetenceandconfidenceinusingEnglish. ProvidetrainingonmethodologyforprimaryteachersofEnglishtoimprovecurrentpractice.

Promote English language and culture to further develop and encourageinterculturalawareness.

PromotetheuseofICTinteachingEnglish. Provide teachers with suitable resources for teaching English to primaryschoolstudents.

Thecourse

is

highly

practical

and

provides

avariety

of

sessions

delivered

by

experienced and qualified teachers and trainers who will develop attendees

language skills by a full immersion approach. Self evaluation activitieswill take

placewhichaimtodevelopattendeeseffectiveplanningskills.Avarietyofvisitsto

schools are also planned for the observation of lessons and to encourage links

betweenschoolsandfuturepartnershipwork.

Acertificateofattendancewillbeprovidedtoeachdelegateoncompletionofthe

course.
