1. Fallas are a holiday period traditional from Valencia, which are celebrated between 15 to 19 of March. This holidays are classified as interesting turistic international holidays. This is a full party which mix traditions and which is held in honor of Saint Joseph, pattern of carpentry. Fallas are spectacular sights made of cardboard and stone, constructed by artistas falleros. This sights represent performances about current topics of the society, economy and statecraft, in a critic way. There are more categories that compete to win various prizes, standing out the largest and great Fallas section.Besides the monuments, Fallas are a combination of art, fireworks, music and pasacalles which make it in a unique party, which causes that all valencian city gets mobilize with this. 2. Fire cavalcade: Announces the arrival of the fire which will burn fallas. The crem night: Consists in burning the fallas. 4. This holidays ending on the 19th of March, leaving only an ash trail together with a lot of wonderful memories. Fallas always have been a traditional Valencian party, but little by little our culture has been expanding to become known internationally. Because of that, each year a lot of tourists come to valencia to see the spectacular city in full Fallas! 5. The origin of the Fallas festival begins with the ancient tradition of the carpenters of the city that on the eve of the party of San Jos burnt in front of their workshops, the old junk and unusable thinks. They also put pieces of wood to illuminate while they were working during the winter .For this reason the day of the burning coincides with the 19th March , festivity of Saint Joseph. Valencia, example of modernity, a port of the Mediterranean and the capital of big events, transforms in March into a city dedicated to his party, to the music and to the gunpowder The Falles, the parties of the excellent fire, are kept for so spectacular centuries, enormous and baroque as the typical Valencian. The paella is a typicial Valencian dish. It is made with rice, meat and vegetables. And after we can light firecrackers. This opcion is very interisting but I prefer to do water activities, for the beach, snorkelling or waterpolo, because this are very funny. Maria: I received the information in the casal and I was very surprised, when I was with with my falleres friends. Falla: Since when do you wished to become the maxim representation of the children of this falla? M: Since the moment I saw my cousin, she was very happy. F: Among all the things you are going to enjoy, which are you favourite and why? M: All but above all the parade and the `ofrenda` because I can enjoy them with my falla. F: And last of all, what will you say to ``falleretes`` and ``fallerets`` of your falla? M: I am just waiting for this moment to arrive, because we will enjoy it a lot. And I am happy with this falla. 13. Interview to Jose Vicente 1-How many years have you been doing Falla at this school? The year I entered . I STARTED doing Falla more or less 15 years. I think I started in 2002. 2-How do the kids react when fallas are coming? They really like it. There are a lot of extra actitivities its something different than the normal class and all the children want to help. 3. What can you see in fallas day at school? You can see the whole school together doing something. Parents, children, teachers Everybody who is relationated with lEscola Pia comes to celebrate Fallas at our school. There are fallas from the town who also come to see our falla, other schools, too. Our school is very present in the towns festivity. 4. What do you do in school falla? Well, after the day of la crem we start to think the fallas topic for the next year, we start to draw some examples, think about dimensions and materials. A lot of work because falla's construction needs coordination between all the teachers and all the subjects in school. Our school has a ``Comisin Fallera which thinks about falla's topic. Besides that there's a group of teachers who give work to other teachers. Which is the topic of this falla? This year the falla is about the United Kingdom. Which material do you use in the falla? Paper, wood, cardboard and a lot of glue. How many people work in the falla? All the teachers , most of the students and some volunteers. How many dummys are going to be in the falla? More or less 20 important dummys.
