NEW BEGINNINGS

I’D like to talk about the “mean-ing of life” and tell you what

that is from my perspective. First of all,I think we have to wake up. We have toremember; we have to know who andwhat we really are and wake up to ourtrue identities, because before that we’rejust wandering around in the dark andbumping into the furniture. I think all thegreat mystical and spiritual traditionsfrom times past will confirm that theessential thing that we are here to do isrecognize God, Buddha nature, true Self, essence. This has been stated a lot ofways in different languages, differentcultures, and different levels of develop-ment at different times.

So, how do we wake up? There aresome cases when it seems to happen bydumb luck—you get struck by lightningand then bing! You get it. But in mostcases, it seems to be more of a temporary

state (of consciousness) experience, likewhen somebody turns on the lights andthen turns them back off again. And oneof the characteristics of a state is thatthey come and they go. Like you’re real-ly happy now, but you can be pretty surethat in a few hours, you’re not going tobe feeling the same. You may feel justaverage, or you may feel really sad. Sostates come and go, like things that arisein the sky. At night, you’ll see stars, satellites, airplanes. In the daytime, you’ll see clouds, bugs, Frisbees, birds, and all kinds of things. Those are likeour states of consciousness.

But in the ever-present reality, we arethe sky, the spaciousness, the pureawareness that everything arises in. Soas we begin to meditate, we begin to beable to identify more and more with thestates and the content, and at the sametime, with the spacious awareness that

all arises in. We begin to step outside ofour stories, our conditionings, and say, okay, I have a body, but I’m not my bodyright now. I’m observing this from theoutside. I have thoughts, but I’m observ-ing my thoughts from the outside. I havefeelings, I have emotions, I have stories,I have a cultural identity, I have a spiri-tual identity, but I’m observing all of thisfrom the outside. What does that tellyou? Well, that’s the clue that maybeyou’re bigger than everything youthought you were. As we begin toexplore pure awareness, pure conscious-ness, we begin to find that it connects usto everything, and that everythingemerges from pure, spacious, consciousawareness from moment to moment.

I remember one of my early break-throughs in meditation years ago, when Ithought, I’m going to figure out wheremy thoughts come from. Why don’t I

THE MEANING OF LIFEHow to

Wake Up

&Show Up

just look at them and trace them back? A really powerful med-itation will do that. What I found out was that my thoughts justkind of poof! from nothingness, or from emptiness. There theyare: bing! bing! bing! Wow! Thoughts come from emptiness. You go down to the very quantum, essential, most basic levelof physical reality, where physical reality and non-physicalreality seem to dance, and you’ll see the same thing happen-ing; things morph in and out of existence from moment tomoment. They call this the “quantum void.”

So, first we wake up to this. We go through our stuff, our agen-das, our monkey minds, our thoughts, our desires, our stories, ourself-hatred, our lusts and perversions, our hatreds, our addictions, our depressions, our despair, our essential isolation, our existen-tial crisis, and keep going and going and going, blessing all ofthese things, because that’s how we get to our essential selves andremember: Oh, yeah! Now I remember. Now I get it.

When the lights go on like that, it’s not just an intellectual idea.An awakening experience is a complete, all-body, all-spiritual,completely Integral, holistic awakening, when you remember,Oh, yes! That is who I am. Wow. The lights go on. You wake up.In the Hindu tradition, the ultimate realization is, “There is onlyGod, and thou art that.” There is only one field, and thou art that.Physicists are constantly trying to come up with a unified fieldtheory—one equation that explains all the different physicalforces in the universe—as if that would explain the universe. They’re leaving out consciousness! Hello?! The very thing thatmakes it possible for them to even think about these sorts ofthings. There has always been the human desire to understandwho and what we are, and scientists take up that quest in quan-tum physics. But it’s hard to get a complete theory for everythingif you leave out a huge chunk—awareness itself—which proba-bly is foundational to the universe.

There is the koan, What was your original face before youwere born? Or, in modern terms, What was your original facebefore the Big Bang? Well, you were the same thing that youalways are at the deepest level—pure consciousness, aware-ness, emptiness—the great mystery that all the mystics havewritten about and that we are all pursuing.

So, what is the meaning of life? Well, first of all, it’s to wakeup, because if you don’t remember who and what you are, howcan you function with skillfulness, wisdom, and compassion? You think you’re just an isolated little entity that boop! cameinto existence, then you have a few years, and then boop!, yougo out of existence, then that’s it. What do you do with that? When you finally wake up to your essential being that wasnever born, time disappears from the picture, and you are con-nected to everything—you are everything.

And what do we do with the individual self—the little JohnDupuy self, in my case? I am this essential, ever-presentawareness that is the inner intelligence, the vibrant life, thethreads that hold everything together from moment to moment,a world without end—but I’m also John Dupuy sitting here in2014, just a moment in the historical, linear unfolding of ourhuman culture. I have a body, a history, a genetic code, a story;I have relationships, ancestors, and education. We have tobring these two things together in a relationship.

In some traditions, it’s said that the little self is just an illu-sion that doesn’t exist—so let’s forget about it. In earlyBuddhism, the idea was to identify only with the essential self,

the essential mystery, step off the wheeland blow off the incarnational, individ-ual John Dupuy ego self as a waste oftime and the cause of suffering. Well, that doesn’t work very well, and around200 A.D., the great Buddhist sage, schol-ar, and mystic Nagarjuna expanded onthe formulation that emptiness is formand form is emptiness, saying that bothare the same, that form is none other thanthis pure awareness, mystery, spirit,God, energy—however you want to saythat—in actual physical form. So, to dis-respect the form is not to understand theform, because they are essentially thesame thing. In other words, we find outthat we are that, and that our individualself is also that. It’s all God. It’s all that.

So the first step is to wake up, andthen we have to show up. Showing upinvolves stabilizing being awake, because if all you do is wake up… Well, imagine that you’re sleeping on and on,and then you wake up for a couple ofminutes and then you go back to sleep, back to your dream world. Well, that’snot very useful. So, not only do we haveto wake up, but we have to stay awake. Then we have to show up in such a waythat the small, individual part that we areplaying out as a singular human beinghas to be in integrity, or in alignment, with the bigger self.

How do we do that? How do stayawake? And how do we show up andactually figure out what we are supposedto be doing in this little bit of allottedtime that we have in our individualhuman body forms? Well, what we arefinding out—and this does not negate allthe wisdom that came before us—is thatit takes practice. It takes work. If you’relooking for a guru to hit you on the headwith a feather and do all the work foryou, or for Jesus to die and do the workfor you, or anybody else to do it for you, you’re just going to be wasting time.

We eventually get to the point wherewe have to take responsibility for ourown awakening, and our own stayingawake, and then our own showing up anddoing the work that we are called to do,because the universe is directional; thereare things going on that we are a part of.Just like the wave/particle paradox inquantum physics, where you look at themost basic entity one way, and it lookslike a wave, like it’s connected to every-thing, and then you change your perspec-

tive, and it looks like an individual parti-cle. That’s the kind of wave that we arefrom moment to moment—we are every-thing, and we are individualized.

As we begin to integrate in practice, over time, this becomes more stabilized, just like if we have a strobe light: If ourstrobe light flashes on once every tenyears, and we briefly see the landscapeand then it’s dark for ten more years, that’snot very good. As we increase our prac-tice, the light comes on more and moreoften, and pretty soon, like with a reallyfast strobe light, we can actually see thedarkness and the light—or the individual-ity and the connectedness. So back andforth it goes until it becomes pretty muchno longer this or that, but includes both.

So, we have to have a practice. Andwhat do we need to cover in that prac-tice? First of all, we have to cover the

physical body. We have to make surethat our organs, our brains, our neuro-chemical balance, all the genetic stuffthat each of us has been given, is beingplayed at the most optimal, skillful way.Next, we need to work on our cognitiveunderstanding, our intellectual under-standing. There are different lines ofintelligence and there are different levelsof development all going on at the sametime on the planet right now. So we havea whole bunch of human beings all atdifferent stages where we value differentthings. Most of us think that our particu-lar level of development is the ultimateone and that everybody else is wrong, sowe have religious wars, tribal wars, political wars, cultural wars… all reallyproblematic. How do we work throughthat? Well, we get to the (Integral) devel-opmental levels where we understandthat all these perspectives are alwayspresent and that they have their negativeaspects and their healthy aspects. Wework on our intellectual understandingso that we can function skillfully andunderstand what needs to be accom-plished at all these different levels.

The next thing we need to do is ego, emotional, shadow, and trauma work, because who we think we are and wherewe act from is largely controlled, in mostof us, by unconscious conditioning andpainful things that have happened to us inthe past. We need a deep, emotional prac-tice that will help us not only deal withthe stuff that’s happened in the past, evenour collective past, but the stuff that hap-

pens from moment to moment. The lastpart of the practice is the spiritual life, which concerns the big, existentialhuman questions, such as, what is thenature of reality? Who am I? Is there lifeafter death? Is the universe intelligent? Isit sentient? Is it just a random accident? How did this thing happen? And, what ismy place in it? These are deep, spiritualquestions that all of us have to confronteventually along the path.

In the beginning, it’s harder to estab-lish a practice. All sorts of resistance aris-es: No, I don’t want to do this. I can’t dothis for an hour. I need to be doing some-thing. I’m too busy. Take responsibilityfor your own self-care, your own innerhealth, and your own outer health, andyou will find that you can actually workon all of your other responsibilities—what you’re called to do, your karmicdebts, the stuff that you’re working on inthis lifetime. If you think that you don’thave time to wake up, you don’t havetime to work on yourself, you don’t havetime to maintain your health at the high-

est level, you’re missing the boat. Yourlife is just not going to be what it couldbe. The real tragedy is living in a state ofconditioned functioning, in which wethink we’re awake and calling the shots, but we’re really not. We’re in egoictrances, and we never really figure outwho we are and what we’re here to do.

If I can summarize all of this, themeaning of life is to wake up and realizewho we are in the largest and smallestaspects of reality—as I sit here in mychair, who am I in relationship to thetrees, the animals, and the life in my lit-tle piece of the world? Who am I in rela-tionship to the whole universe? How do Istay awake? How do I make my individ-ual ego, body, self the most functional, capable vehicle to hold that understand-ing? And what is my individual missionas a person who has woken up and takencare of himself? What am I here to do?What instrument am I to play in the greatsymphony of the unfolding, evolvinguniverse, and how do I play it beautiful-ly, skillfully, and compassionately?

Gymnastics is the world's

number one toughest

sport. Coaches and stu-

dents train like crazy folk.

Gymnasts have a reputation for

being the most agile, flexible,

and strong for body size, of any

athletes. But there is also a repu-

tation for frequent injuries

Traditionally, stretching in gym-

nastics has been mostly static.

Most of athletes have been

taught to go beyond their toler-

ance level and just hold that

excruciatingly painful position.

Supposedly this is supposed to

increase muscle flexibility.

At Altius Gymnastics, Coaches

and instructors, implement flexi-

bility training that not only

encompasses better methods of

avoiding injury, but training to

prevent injury when a strange,

tweaky landing or pressure might

occur. Of course it would ACCI-

DENTALLY occur-nobody has an

“on purpose “ injury. The interest-

ing thing about this training

method is that as it increases

flexibility, it also reduces pain

during stretching. It also increas-

es strength in the outer edges of

our flexibility.

I am going to tell you about this

because it is a secret that

shouldn’t be kept. I learned most

of this many years ago, and I

recognized the concepts were

comparable to my ballet training.

It weighed heavily in the back of

my mind that dancers don't have

the reputation for injury that gym-

nasts do. So I paid attention.

The principles should be

applied to all stretching and

strength exercises, but I will use

the example of a pike stretch

(both legs out in front of your

body straight knees, toes should

be pointed for this exercise).

With legs out in front, Lean your

body forward. As soon as you hit

the point of pain (I don’t mean

discomfort-I mean PAIN) back off

just a smidge and hold pike just

below your threshold of pain.

Now while in that position

squeeze the muscles that you

just stretched that were painful.

As an athlete you will become

more familiar with how this is

done as you practice. This is a

feeling of isometrics or isolation

of muscle control. Squeeze for a

slow count backwards from 10 to

1 (This is an easy method of

stretching to do with a partner.

Have your coach or mom-some-

one you trust to do as you ask,

and not force any stretching that

you don't ask for. The partners

job is to be the force that you

push against instead of simply

squeezing your muscles in your

stretch position.), and you should

feel the muscles go hot then

sting and then go numb.

Then when you get done with

that slow count purposeful mus-

cle activation, stretch forward

past where it used to hurt before

and you will notice that you can

go quite beyond where you were

initially able to go without pain.

Most athletes immediately dis-

cover that they can go farther

than they have ever been able

to stretch.

Sit up straight for a moment.

Now stretch back over into pike.

While you're in the pike

stretched position search for a

range of motion. This is done by

lifting your chin, pushing your

chin towards your chest, turning

your head to the left or the right,

moving your arms about, etc.

Move your entire torso from the

left to the right in combination

with the changes in head and

arms and if you find yourself in

pain in any of these positions go

ahead and do the back off flex

hold and re-stretch regime

again. These changes of position

will engage some muscles that

are usually left alone until you

do that tweaky thing they weren’t

awake for.

Here's why this stretching

method reduces injury.

STRETCHING SECRETSWhat if we really havebeen doing it all wrong!

Traditionally, no strength exercis-

ing has been done in the outer

limits of the flexibility routine.

With this method of stretching,

muscles are built in the position

where the maximum stretch is

occurring. This is extremely

important because each joint is

supported by ligaments and ten-

dons and muscles, with muscles

being the first joint stabilizer of

choice. When muscles are

fatigued or weak or over-

stretched they cannot contain a

jolt or an over-extension of a

joint and this instantly engages

the ligaments and tendons.

Ligaments and tendons are not

meant to stretch, so when called

upon to support the joint in a

rapid manner they will snap,

break, weaken or overstretch.

This instantly damages ligaments

and tendons, and worst-case

scenario it will also destroy a

joint instantly. When strengthen-

ing occurs in the outside edge of

stretching the chances of injury

become very close to zero.

Another thing to remember

(keeping in mind that muscles

support the ligaments and ten-

dons and the joints), is to be

sure that your athletes ( or your-

self) are not fatiguing muscles

early in the day and then calling

upon the body to execute swift

snapping movements or forcible

movements later in the day. This

is a recipe for joint injury. Even

during a workout, “conditioning”

may not be the best thing to con-

centrate at the end when an ath-

lete is near exhaustion.

Please remember to engage

both sides of muscles on each

joint. That means that if you do a

pull-up, do it slowly and then let

yourself down completely and

slowly as this engages and puts

tension on the opposing muscles

so that both sides of the joint will

strengthen. Contrary to what is

traditionally done, this slow and

thorough motion will do a better

job of preparing the body to do a

swift snapping movement.

Traditions are a great place to

start in life, I think. But, well,

some things need to get better,

right? At Altius Gymnastics, that

is what it is ALL about-Faster,

HIGHER, stronger, reaching a

higher level of service, a higher

level of accomplishment, a high-

er level of JOY!! And about that

tradition of sitting in the over-

splits-I would either skip that

altogether or add a squeeze

regime with great attention of

both sides of those joints!

IN a world that is vastly conflict-ed and cultural standards are

compromised everywhere we look, what does “good” mean. We havebeen bombarded by visual images onthe TV and movies that truly desensi-tized us to the suffering of others. -we don’t think we can make a differ-ence. It is too overwhelming.

Riots and chaos headline the news.Good news seems to be in short sup-ply. Even among those who woulddefine themselves as good - they arebusy arguing, demeaning each other, jostling for attention, fame, treasuresand ill-gotten worth.

Where is good? I know for me, dur-ing the time of overwhelming adversityof my own making, I was suffocatingfrom my own suffering. I was a victimand the perpetrator of misery. I wasangry all the time, cruel with my wordsand thought I was better than everyone. Not because I was - but because I waslonely and sad deep down inside myheart.

It was not my intention to cause such

great harm, but I did... So the last thingI could see was how serving otherswould make me feel better. It was all Icould do to take care of my family'sneeds and put on a strong, brave front(or so I thought).

I found no relief of my internal painuntil I focused my attention on someoneother than myself. I learned honesty inthat self-awareness that was veryuncomfortable to wear. But that dis-comfort worked as a catalyst to turn myattention to restoring my heart to good.To becoming a power for good.

Without getting into a moral imper-ative conversation about virtue ormoral righteousness, good is just that -good. It is the Golden Rule. It is “do agood deed.”

“Do unto others what you would havethem do unto you.” Perhaps on a greaterselfless level - be a power for goodregardless of others intentions or yourdesire for attention and reward.

Call it RAK - random acts of kind-ness. However, more importantly, notjust for strangers, be a power of good

for those who need to lean on you. This new approach to living is not

motivated by guilt or shame or to add toyour resume but just because you aregood. Just be good.

Be good for them - those you love andfor those you haven't yet learned to love.

Shake off your shame and stand up tobullies. Don’t be a victim any longer, create standards and values thatimprove your life - Have values youcan believe in that will keep you afloatwhen the storms of poor choices crashinto your safe harbors.

I would add - we all have a responsi-bility to be a power for good outside ourimmediate family, as well. Begin withdaily acts - the RAK's - as small as thechivalrous act of opening the door forsomeone is developing a personal powerfor good and do it with a smile.

Positive energy has a greater power tonegate the negative than we can possiblyimagine. Being a power engine for good-ness drives that shift in the universe.

Who is leaning on you? Your chil-dren, perhaps a neighbor in need, your

Honor seems to be in short supply these days. Being “good” - becoming good, is not only reflected in

outward behavior but your heart. It is a feeling of peaceful-ness. Maybe you could start with improving the tone of yourwords, eliminating contempt from your language, developingempathy... Frankly, just loving and forgiving people.

If you have a heart of stone - then your outward efforts todo “good” are fake and phony. You are a liar.

By being a power for good, you empower others and createpositive results from selfless actions. Add this to yourlifestyle. Everyone is capable of being and doing good.

Take themoney...and give it to charity. Work in a soup kitchen. Be a BigBrother or Sister...You want to do well, but if you do not do goodtoo, then doing well will never be enough.” Anna Quindlen

RECENTLY,a reveal-ing pub-lic inter-

est documentary aired on the pervasive effects of the Internet;specifically in regards to the negative impact of cellular phone fre-quencies on human health. The movie explained, in graphic detail, how human beings worldwide are in danger from the effects of cellphones and cell phone towers. The film provided shocking evi-dence that the health of seniors, adults, teens and children are con-stantly at risk due to the unseen frequencies of cellular phones. This is a particular concern to the health of children.

A summary of the film’s premium points are below:

CELL PHONESAre they Carcinogenic? This is a topic that most peo-

ple have come across, but tend to ignore as they believethat stringent tests have proven that they are safe.

Nevertheless, there seems to be many cases of cancer clus-ters around property in the vicinity of the cell phone towers.

These transmitters are pumping out radio frequency (RF) waves 24/7,365 days of the year and people living close by them are having all sortsof health problems. Many scientists are predicting new cancers evolvingas a result of these RF waves polluting our bodies. Cell phones and celltowers have only been around in large numbers since the late nineteennineties, and as with most carcinogenic substances, it takes ten yearsor more for the long term effects to become apparent.

Symptoms of over exposure to the RF waves – Symptoms includesinsomnia, dizziness, nausea, increased heart rate, vertigo, headaches, visual disturbances and odd sensations in the body. They also affectthe endocrine system, thyroid function, can cause internal bleedingand many other health issues. With all due respect, when we visitour doctors with these issues, they have not been trained to pickup on the effects of RF waves, so diagnosis would be a virus orstress or something else, as the symptoms are similar. If canceror other major health problems take ten years or more to surface, this means they have not really been around long enough forlong term test results to have been considered.

CELL PHONE TESTINGAre the tests bias? This is another area covered and according

to the documentary; the tests carried out seem to be bias in thefavor of the communication companies. The problem is thecommunication companies fund the tests, and what testing

CELL PHONEFREQUENCIES PUT OUR

CHILDREN AND LEARNINGCOMMUNITIES AT RISK!

facility is going to bite the handthat feeds it. Therefore moreindependent tests need to becarried out in order to get hon-est statistics and accurateresults. Most cell phoneproviders do offer guidelinesand say that the phone itself issafe if held a minimum of25mm (1 Inch) away from thehead. But how many people dothat, we all rest it against ourheads, don’t we, especially ifit’s noisy where we are.

ARE CHILDREN MOREVULNERABLE THATADULTS?

Tests are carried out using aHigh-Tech model head with acell phone strapped to the sideof it. They measure the heatingeffect on the skull and brain;this rating is called the SpecificAbsorption Rate (SAR). Thecompany that does the testingstates that the head is the aver-age size taken from measure-ments of around 10,000 USmilitary soldiers. None at allwere carried out on a model thesize of a child’s skull, and thisis a major cause for concern ifyour child has a cell. On aver-age, a child receives their firstcell phone at the age of eightyears old, and it’s obvious thatthe exposure would be far moreinvasive on a child’s thinnerskull and brain than an adults. If it takes ten years to developa tumor, young people aged 19 or 20 years old are at high riskto developing brain tumors by the time they are in college.Apparently 68% of us place our cell phones on the bedsidetable, where it could be polluting us while we sleep; I wonderif the ten year health risk estimate took that into consideration.

RF WAVES + HUMAN BODY = DISEASEWe live in a field of invisible electromagnetic radiation, the

RF waves created by billions of cell phones, not to mentioncell phone towers and various other wireless appliances. Arewe really naive enough to believe putting something thatemits micro waves next to our brain is not going to harm us?Of course not,, but this documentary leads us to believe thatwe are misguided into thinking we are safe. Scientists believethat a prolonged exposure to the RF waves has an adverseeffect on the levels of melatonin produced by the pineal gland. This melatonin is a powerful hormone that acts as an in-housevacuum cleaner in the body removing the free radicals thatattack our healthy cells. These free radicals are the main

causal factor in most cancersand melatonin is our maindefense mechanism. LowMelatonin levels compromisethe immune system, the subtleenergy body, as well as the otherhealth risks I mentioned.

THE WORLD HEALTHORGANIZATION (WHO)

In 2011, the WHO changedthe danger rating of cell phonesto that of possibly carcinogenicto humans. Possibly... I’m sorry, but is that acceptable? Surelythere should be a large WARN-ING sign on the cell phonepackaging in order to bring thisto the public’s attention. Thefilm mentions that around fourbillion people currently own acell phone, I found an onlinenewspaper stating it was morelike six billion, but how many ofthem are children? The samenewspaper printed that on aver-age just under half (45%) of thechildren in the world have a cellphone. That’s a lot of children atrisk and how many of their par-ents know the dangers? Thisdocumentary clearly states thatthe truth is being hidden in thename of profit. And if the gov-ernment is not going to protectour children, then it’s up to us todo it before it’s too late.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP OURSELVES?Well, obviously there would be tears and tantrums if we took

the cell phones, iPads, Laptops and so on away from our chil-dren, and many of us rely on them for our businesses. However,we do need to use them with due care and attention, so pleaseread the leaflet thoroughly and consider the risks, especially ifthe cell is for a child. Avoid holding phones near your head anduse the headphones with the wire plugged into the phone, plac-ing the phone on a desk or as far from you as possible ratherthan using Bluetooth headsets as they are also wireless.

Avoid keeping the cell in your bra ladies, it’s potentially badfor your heart and creates energetic blocks in that energy centerin the body. The film states that breast cancer suffers have a tenthof the melatonin of a healthy person. And gentlemen, avoid plac-ing your cell in our trousers pocket, as it could be damaging yourlower regions, as it pollutes the base energy center; this couldcause impotency or even prostate cancer. Apparently, men suf-fering from Prostate cancer have half the required levels ofMelatonin. Children with Autism also have half the required lev-els and are at higher risk than non-spectrum children.

“On average, a childreceives their first

cell phone at the ageof eight years old.”

SOLUTIONSI believe the solution lies within the edu-

cation system, as children need tobe informed of the risks andgiven adequate health careactivities within a controlledschool environment. I intend tohave an audio program that isonly five minutes long introducedinto the daily curriculum of everyschool in the USA. Byintroducing these pro-grams into schools firstthing in the morning on adaily basis, it wouldchange the vibration ofthese dangerous RF waves, effectively cleansing them, rendering them harmless. Thiswould not only affect the chil-dren in a positive way, but itwould also help staff and cleansethe energy in the building.

Crystal Ki works on a cellularmolecular level by altering the fre-quencies of the waves that make upthe human energy field and physicalbody by restoring the mind and body tohealthy levels. I also believe we can reducethe problem of bullying that seems to beprevalent in schools by raising the frequencyof the mind/body and energy field, increasingthe levels of light within the children andhealing victim consciousness. This audio iscurrently in the process of pilot study inschools. I intend to create a research institutein the USA and to formulate a national edu-cational forum in 2015. If your child’s schoolwould like to sample an audio, please do con-tact me via my website.

Janine Regan-Sinclair – www.thecrystalkifoundation.com and www.crystalki.comJanine is the Founder of The Crystal Ki Foundation and is currently based in the

United Kingdom. She created the Crystal Ki Healing System and the 21 Day Mind Detox. Her self-help audios are transformational mind detox and development programs and she haspublished 4 books to date. Janine is a pioneer in the field of complementary healthcare and isalso an internet TV & Radio Host/Producer.

I am Janine Regan-Sinclair and my area of expertise is Human Energy

Realignment. In 2003 I formulated a new Healing System called Crystal

Ki that alters the negative frequency waves in the body and in the ener-

gy field around the body, as well as in property and land. I have been

keeping myself, my family and my pets clear of the damage of these RF

waves for years now using the Crystal Ki system; a powerful frequency

cleanser than improves health on many levels.

The Crystal Ki Healing system safely works on a cellular molecular level. I believe these 5-minute bursts of positive frequency will dramatically

reduce the risk of disease from exposure to RF waves. In fact, a daily immersion in these 5-minute frequencies of positive-ness will become the

means of eliminating RF damage. In addition the positive frequencies cleanses other toxins and pollutants affecting emotional traumas. How?

Positive frequencies allow brain and body cells to release negative energies and restore the body and mind to a state of good health. Imagine

children being better prepared to receive instruction first thing in the morning, in the safe environment of their classrooms. The Crystal Ki

System will also increase their levels of focus, attention, concentration and performance. Their overall health will be positively affected now and

in the long-term. The sooner we start healing and protecting the children from intruding and damaging frequencies, the better for children, their

parents and their teachers.

The Crystal Ki digital audio recordings are immediately available for your home and your child’s

school. I also believe we can reduce the problem of bullying which is so prevalent in

our schools. How? There is a collective and interdependent improvement real-

ized by raising the positive frequencies within an individual’s brain and body

cells. As you add a cleansing of energy fields at the school place and with-

in the learning space there will be an increasing level of positive energy

and light within the students, faculty and staff. Creating these positive

conditions for growth facilitates the healing of fear, anger

and victim consciousness. We welcome your pur-

Clear Horizons Academy is a schoolfor children who are moderately to

severely impacted by autism. Throughour program, children diagnosed withthis disorder receive a tailored educa-tional program that integrates speech, behavioral and occupational therapiesdesigned to meet their individual learn-ing and developmental needs. Thiscomprehensive approach is vital to helpchildren with autism acquire the skillsnecessary to be able to lead produc-tive, independent lives in the future. Wefill a critical void in Utah County byserving children who no longer qualifyor who have “aged out” of publicly-fund-ed early intervention services, but whoare still in desperate need of compre-hensive resources.

A New Facility to Serve Utah County To accommodate the growing

demand for our services, ClearHorizons has raised more than $4.4 mil-lion of a $6.5 million capital campaign tobuild a state-of-the-art, 31,000 square-foot facility on a ten-acre campus inOrem. This new building is locatedclose to the University Parkway I-15 exitin Orem. Through the development ofthis new campus and the resultingexpansion of our educational and thera-peutic programs, Clear Horizons will beable to triple the number of childrenserved at any given time. We will alsobe able to expand the number of chil-dren we serve to include junior-high andhigh school aged children with pro-grams tailored to their unique needs.

Quick Facts About Our Work •In 2007 a study was released that

showed autism impacted 1 in every133 children in the State of Utah. Astudy released the spring of 2011shows that number has increased to 1in every 77 children.

•Clear Horizons currently can servea maximum of 32 full-time studentsdue to space restrictions. This newfacility will allow us to expand up to100 full-time students.

•Our students primarily come fromthree school districts: Alpine SchoolDistrict (50%), Provo School District(38%) and Nebo School District (12%).

•Clear Horizons admits studentsregardless of their family’s socioeco-nomic situation. Our program fees arebased on a sliding scale in order toaccommodate every family’s needs.

WHATdoes it feel like tobe a good friend?

Think of a time you’ve been a goodfriend. You stood up for somebody. Youwere in their corner. You had their back. You offered support when they were dis-couraged and a hug when you knewwords weren’t enough.

You know you’ve done it. You’vebeen that friend for someone else.

How did that feel to show up forsomebody like that? What does it feellike to have a friend that will reach out toyou when you’re overwhelmed?

You deserve a friend like that. That’s right, you deserve it. You

deserve to feel supported. You deserve tofeel encouraged and loved.

You deserve it and you are worth it.You probably don’t hear that enough, solet me repeat it: you are worth it.

Even if people tell you this all thetime, you still might be having a hardtime actually hearing it: you are worth it.

Maybe you were convinced from a

young age that you’re not worth a wholelot. Maybe you’ve kicked down whenyou’ve tried to stand up for yourself.Maybe there are some voices in yourhead that try to tell you that you’re notworth it.

You deserve to have someone standup for you.

That someone is you. It’s sounds simple enough, right? Be

your own best friend. But you probably know that it’s often

easier to be your own worst enemy.Negative thoughts creep into your mind.Self-criticism. Self-doubt. Self-blame.The voices in your head can be relent-less. These voices compare you to othersand highlight your flaws.

Here’s a simple practice for gettingout of this pattern of self-criticism. Ilearned it from Rick Hanson, the neu-ropsychologist.

BE FOR YOURSELF“Several times a day, ask yourself this

question: Am I on my own side here?” Think about it. Am I on my own side

here? Am I being a friend to myself? This question is important. It can

change how you are thinking and it canchange how you feel.

This simple question opens up spacefor contemplating different ways thatyou can be treating yourself. It opens upthe possibility of showing yourselfsome compassion.

Here are some good times to askyourself this question:

If you’re feeling sad, stressed, anx-ious, angry, irritated, frustrated, ordisappointed.

If someone is trying to push you intodoing something that you don’t wantto do.

If you are struggling to do somethingthat would benefit you (like exercisingor quitting smoking).

HOW TO DEAL WITH SELF CRITICISM

When you ask yourself if you are onyour own side, think about times thatothers have been on your side. Thinkabout how that made you feel to havesomebody show up and support you.

You might also find it helpful to thinkabout times that you have been a goodfriend to others. What did that feel like?Did you feel strong, energized, andempowered when you were able tooffer love and support to someone else?

PICTURE YOURSELF AS A CHILDIt can also be effective to picture

yourself as a little boy or a little girl. There is still that sweet, innocent, vul-nerable child inside of you. Howwould it feel to have the opportunityto stand up for that child?

How would it feel to stand up forhim or her in a way that perhapsnobody ever did? This is your oppor-tunity to show some real love for thatlittle one—some real love for you.

FEEL INTO IT TO CREATE A SHIFTThere is much more to you than the negative self talk and

self doubt. Those voices are simply one part of your expe-

rience, but by giving them attention, you strengthen their hold on you.

Rather than feeding those thoughts, shift your focus. Shift your attentiontoward showing yourself compassion. How would it feel to show some love toyour inner child? How would it feel toshow up as a friend?

Allow yourself to feel into these feel-ings. Notice how they make you feelinside of your body.

Being mindful of these feelings, askyourself, “Being my own best friend, what’s the best thing to do here?”

Then do it. And see how it feels.

2014was considered by many to be the year of the gut. Welearned that leaky gut is linked with belly fat, that gut

bacteria imbalances are linked with obesity, and even that exer-cise and whey protein increase the health of the gut microbio-me.

With all this new science, we still need to get back to thebasics in the kitchen to support gut health. Nutrient-rich bonebroth has been a favorite staple by many functional medicinepractitioners and primal nutrition experts. When prepared prop-erly, this gelatinous substance is rich in healthy minerals, colla-gen, cartilage, glycine, and more.

What Is in Bone? Bone is mineralized collagen (hydroxyapatite + collagen); in

fact, by weight, bone is nearly 25 percent collagen.1 In additionto collagen, bones are rich in osteocalcin (a compound thathelps stabilize the mineral structure of bone), albumin, andalkaline phosphatase (an enzyme that helps neutralize bacterialendotoxin). Cooking bones in a stock can help liberate thesenutrients, which are hard to get from other dietary sources.

The marrow from bones has long been used to increase redblood cell count.2 (In the video below, we discuss how to cookthe bones to get the marrow out prior to making the broth.)

Getting Collagen and Glycosamino-glycans from Chickenand/or Pigs’ Feet

When cooked in a broth, beef knuckle bones, chicken andpigs’ feet, and fish heads release many glycosaminoglycans,gelatin-like substances that include keratin, hyaluronic acid, and chondroitin sulfate. These natural shock absorbers are greatfor repairing the health of the gut, skin, hair, joints, and more.

THE TRICK TO GET REALLY THICK GELATINOUS BONE BROTH

I’ve been experimenting with bone broth on and off for thepast six years, and have recently found the best strategy to getreally thick, gelatinous bone broth.

STEP 1) Purchase organically raisedbeef marrow and rib bones, wild-caughtsalmon heads, and either chicken orpigs’ feet. If you can’t get the feet, youcan settle with knuckle bones, but I’vefound that pigs’ feet in particular reallyhelp get the broth thick and gelatinous.

STEP 2) Cook marrow bones at 400degrees for 35-40 minutes. Pull out themarrow and eat or save and mix in avegetable dish.

STEP 3) Place cooked marrow bones, ribs, fish (salmon) heads, feet (chicken, pig, or beef), and knuckle bones into astock pot. Fill with 4:1 ratio of water toapple cider vinegar. (I have a 16-quartstockpot, so one 32 oz container of vine-gar works well.) Let sit for at least 20minutes, then bring to a full boil andsimmer for 24-48 hours.

NOTES: Make sure to use filteredwater and organic bones. When I firststarted making broth shortly after fin-ishing college, I didn’t have the finan-cial resources to buy organic bones andfiltered water. I discovered several yearslater that my heavy metals (arsenic, lead, and cadmium) were extremely ele-vated, so I paused on the broth and didsome chelation. (The metals could havebeen from other sources besides thebroth, but my intuition told me brothwas part of it.)

STEP 4) After 6-12 hours of lettingstock simmer, add vegetables and

spices. To get the alkalinity up in thecooking, I like combining chopped car-rots, celery, onions, leeks, bay leaves, collard greens, and tarragon. (But youcan add whatever you’d like!)

TIP: Blend some or all of these vegeta-bles in a food processor or Vitamix priorto putting into broth. This allows for amuch darker and tastier broth.

STEP 5 FINAL STEP) Once the vegeta-bles have been in broth for 12 to 18 hoursor so, I’ve found that you’re not going toget much more yield by cooking longer.About 20 minutes before pulling the brothoff the stove, you want to add choppedparsley. Sally Fallon discusses the ration-ale for this step in her book NourishingTraditions; but, in brief, it helps to chelatethe minerals and collagen components sothat they are bio-available in your broth.

Let the broth cool and then filter itinto glass jars. After the broth hascooled completely, you’ll have fat onthe top. Simply scoop it off and throwaway. Much of the endocrine-disruptingchemicals that animals collect are fatsoluble.

Enjoy your broth as a stand-alonedrink or base for cooking vegetables. The meaty-like flavor enhances thepalatability of the vegetables, and makesthem easier for kids to enjoy as well.

THEfive best words to say to anyone in your family is“Happiness runs in our family”.

Isn't that what we all want? Happiness. What does that mean “Happiness runs in our family?” Human nature seems to give enormous attention to negativity.

We whine and boob about everything. We want to control theuniverse and bully people - even our children into doing whatev-er we dictate. We blame others and make excuses. When itcomes to illness and disease, we are quick to declare “that” runsin my family that's why I am sick.

So why not give the same intention to Happiness? Many years ago when all 5 of my children were still at home

and bickered - as siblings will do - over nothing. I put my armsaround my two fighting sons and whispered gleefully “ Happinessruns in our family”. They were stunned, standing there in shockthat I didn't yell at them and send them off to our dark basementdungeon for fighting.

Just remember, I said; "Happiness runs in our family." It stuck.Interestingly enough, it shifted the energy in the situation imme-diately. The boys stopped bickering and went off to play. I start-ed saying it - becoming our family's mantra and still do it today.

Does it mean your kids won’t fight? No... But it will change

how YOU, the parent (or spouse) reacts to the situation. Love willprevail. It takes a bit of practice but when you can adopt such apositive, uplifting approach to your view of your family; it willcure diseases of the heart and mind. Happiness will resonate.

Science has shown us that there is a Biology of Belief ( book byBruce Lipton). Your DNA is influenced by what we think andsay. So if you want healthy DNA to pass on - be nice - you arewhat you think and believe.

In 2013, a post ran in the Huffington Post; The Six Words YouShould Say To Your Child. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rachel-macy-stafford/six-words-you-should-say-today_b_3863643.html

Rachel reported that she was impacted by this report. “... college athletes were asked what their parents said that made

them feel great; that amplified their joy during and after a ball-game. Their overwhelming response: 'I love to watch you play.'"

The article entitled, "What Makes a Nightmare Sports Parentand What Makes a Great One," which described powerful insightsby Bruce E. Brown and Rob Miller of Proactive Coaching LLC.Rachel commented, "Although I finished reading the entire piece,my eyes went back and searched for that one particular sentence -- the one that said, "I love to watch you play."

I love to watch you play. I do! All our children played sports. Did I ever say it? I sure felt

that I loved every minute of it. I often felt it was the highlight ofmy day to go to a game they were involved in. I loved watchingthem dance, sing, play in trees.

I remember sneaking out the back door quietly to watch my twoyoungest build a fort in the grass reeds along our river bank under-neath the plum tree. And they would talk and wrestle and climbthe tree to jump into the small river that was in the back yard.Having more fun then I could ever have arranged for them. I loveto watch you play.

Dr. Bobby Low, Ph.D. performance psychologist suggests thatit is not about the win or a loss in a game being played that createsworth. The greater value is in nurturing the relationship with yourperforming child by inquiring “Did you have fun or asking, whatwas your favorite part of the game.”

I admit I slip up now and then and ask my 6-year-old grandchild- “well, did you win?” I’m trying to be better because what Imean to say is “ I loved watching you play and remember happi-ness runs in our family."

HAPPINESS RUNSIN OUR FAMILY.
