The Downtown Baltimore Jewish Community Center (DBJCC) aims to keep professional families with young children enjoying life downtown. At satellite locations and shared spaces we provide programming in partnership with existing downtown organizations. Our programs are open to Jewish and non-Jewish families with opportunities for early child development, parent education, neighborhood networking, adult meeting space and more. Each season we offer a variety of classes designed to entertain and challenge your child as he/she reaches new developmental milestones. Classes and programs are available for newborns and up. Locations The DBJCC uses shared spaces all over town for our programs. Currently classes are offered on both sides of the Harbor in Canton, Fell’s Point and Federal Hill. Live, Learn, Play Downtown! Baby Groove Have fun with your baby as you participate in developmentally appropriate activities designed to stimulate and enhance gross motor development. Class activities include creative movement, songs and parachute activities. Movers & Shakers Is your little one moving and grooving all over the place? Join us for this action packed class designed for busy hands. Enjoy songs, puppets, bubbles, parachute play, simple crafts and so much more as you explore with your child. Stay & Play Visit our soon to be open Parenting Center. This playroom will feature age-appropriate toys, enable you to spend quality time with your toddlers and other parents. Stop by with your mom’s group or just on one of those bad weather days. The Parenting Center will be open on select mornings and weekends. Messy & Messier Toddlers experiment with finger paint, shaving cream and everything messy. Make a mess in our house instead of yours! This special class will start with a story followed by a craft project based on the theme of the story. Developmental and age appropriate materials are provided to enhance fine motor skils, tactile stimulation and socialization. Hello Baby/ Infant Massage Meet other moms, par- ticipate in discussions, enjoy sensory stimulation activities as you bond with your new- born. Infant massage helps with relaxation and sleep, provides digestive support and much more for your baby. This class is co-sponsored with the Downtown Baltimore Family Alliance.

Innovative programs for children ages birth – 5 years old with their
parents/caregivers
Tot ShabbatJoin us once a month on Friday mornings at the Jewish Museum of MD as we welcome Shabbat with singing, dancing, and blessings over the candles, wine and challah. This drop in program runs during the school year. Each month families will make a different ritual item to take home.
Hands on HolidaysGive your little ones a chance to learn about the Jewish Holidays in a fun and nurturing setting. We will celebrate different holidays with interactive play, crafts, songs and snacks. Hands on Holiday programs are held at the Jewish Museum of MD and the Enoch Pratt Libraries.
Got Shabbat?Experience an enriching family friendly Shabbat celebration with other downtown families. This evening includes
Tot Shabbat, a full catered Shabbat dinner and activities for young children. Enjoy the oppor-tunity to meet and connect with other Jewish families in your area.

The JCC Parenting Centers offer numerous enrichment classes, parenting workshops, child-friendly playrooms and special holiday programming for parents and their children, ages birth to 36 months.
