provide a unique and affordable study abroad option at 40+ international partner universities.
Academic credit earned at the host university transfers to the student’s FSU transcript and can count toward General Education, Liberal Studies, and Major/Minor requirements.
Students pay FSU tuition and fees and use their financial aid while studying at the host university. Exchange scholarships are available.
EligibilityCurrently enrolled, degree-seeking student at FSU (including exploratory majors)
Must have been enrolled at FSU at least one semester prior to the exchange
In good academic standing with a 3.0+ GPA
Application StepsAttend an info session and review exchange options and course offerings: global.fsu.edu/exchanges.
Work with your academic advisor and the designated faculty advisor to approve your course selection and complete the exchange application: fsu-horizons.symplicity.com.
After the FSU application is approved, complete the host university application and visa process, and attend mandatory pre-departure meetings.

Maximize Your Global Exchange
Academic Recognition
Global Citizenship Certificate Gain an academic certificate and transcript notation by enrolling in the GCC prior to your exchange.
Garnet and Gold Scholar Society Gain recognition through the GGSS. An exchange counts toward 1 of 3 required engagement areas, while students completing an exchange and the GCC meet 2 of 3 required engagement areas (international & research).
