WHO AM I?• Daniel Grant• 3 and a half years at UHI starting with

HNC SOUND PRODUCTION• Currently in my final year of University• Aspire to work in Broadcast and Post

Production

Why I chose ‘Live Broadcast & Post Production’

• Employment is relatively high in comparison to other sectors of the industry

• The work experiences gained during the summer of 2014

• Media runs through my family via various generations

• My current & future skills set will match an employers need

Specific Work Experience(GREEN ROOM FILMS)

• Worked from 9th June-12th June• Although work was not hands on, very informative

and motivational• Able to sit down with the Post Production

engineer in the team (Chris Tuszewski)• Went in open minded to see what the world of

media offered and what happens during post production

Specific Work Experience(GLASGOW GAMES 2014)

• Contracted from 21st July – 1st Aug 2014• Worked alongside professionals from the BBC,

Global TV, Sunset+Vine and IBC• Worked alongside professionals of who’s level

of work I aspire to reach in the future• Received motivational feedback during the 12

days of working• Gained experience on the equipment and

setups first hand whilst live on air

Conclusion

• I have a clear set of targets to hit. If I hit them, I will ultimately get to where I want in the working world

• Done the appropriate extensive research to know how to tackle my targets

• Already have a solid platform to work from e.g. contacts, Glasgow games, University degree etc

• As a very long term target? I want to be working in Sports Broadcast by 2016 ultimately.
