PRAYER MINISTRY
Please pray for the needs of the sick
of our parish, the homebound, those
in nursing homes and those who care
for them, especially: Marlene Baker,
Alfred Boehme, Anton & Catherine
Fahlman, John Fahlman, Fr. Marcel George, Andrew
Helmeczi, Dean Hutchence, Mary Kish, Fr. Ken Koep,
Thomas & Theresa Periyilkatte, Hans Reisinger, Claudia
Sali, Fr. Art Vandendriessche, Kathleen Wingerter and
Louise Wingerter. Please also, keep in your prayers all
who are grieving the death of a loved one. “The harvest is rich,” Jesus tells the seventy-two
in today’s Gospel, “but the workers are few.”
The situation is the same today. How can I help
with God’s harvest? Am I called into the field?
Am I one who could provide food or shelter or
wages to those who toil in the fields of the
Lord?
Vocation View
“The harvest is rich but the workers are few: therefore
ask the harvest-master to send workers to his harvest.”
Pray for vocations. Depend on God’s providence. (Luke 10:1-9)

Food Drive
Donations of food will be collected the weekend
of July 9th/10th for two families in our parish,
Marian Centre and Visitation House. At the pre-
sent time four families are recipients. All contributions
are welcome. Thank you for sharing your treasure with
those around you. Please be mindful that we do not accept packaging that
has been opened or items that are partially used.
Are you interested in the Catholic Faith? This fall we will begin a new journey in faith to share the
richness of the Catholic Church and our parish
family. We invite you to learn what the
Church teaches in an open and welcoming environment.
These sessions also are opportunities for you to ask those
perplexing and difficult questions you may have about the
Church. These gatherings are for inquirers and are open
to people who are unbaptized, as well as those who are
baptized Christians from other denominations, and for
Catholics who were baptized but did not receive the sacra-
ments on Confirmation and/or Eucharist. For more infor-
mation please contact Father Jose at 306-522-8583.

Year of Mercy Offer to run an errand (groceries, dry cleaning pick
up, dog-walking) for a busy parent or homebound

mercy and show your children what they mean.
Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia
Think About It
Parliament passed a motion in 2014 calling for a pan-
Canadian palliative and end-of-life care strategy
“ensuring all Canadians have access to high quality
home-based end-of-life care.” Our nations needs to act
on this so that all Canadians have timely access to qual-
ity palliative care.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The absolute ban on assisted suicide and euthanasia is
the norm in all but a handful of countries. Where these
practices have been allowed, the evidence shows that
safeguards simply do not work, or become struck down
over time by higher courts.

Many doctors and other health professionals who want
nothing to do with killing their patients may feel forced
to leave the profession. Young adults considering a
medical profession may choose another path if they are
expected to become killers instead of healers.
Divine Mercy Kit
We have a sign-up sheet at the back of
the church for families who wish to take
home the travelling Divine Mercy Kit.
This kit has been put together by the Eu-
charistic Apostles of divine Mercy in
Canada. Families are encouraged to take
the kit home for a week and pray with it.
Please return it the following Saturday so
the next family on the list may take it
home.

support through the baby shower and 'especially your
prayers' for enabling us to be present, on their behalf...to
help those most in need when dealing with unplanned
pregnancies!
Summer Vacation
When you go on vacation don’t forget to
mail or deliver your church envelope to your
own church. Regular expenses continue
through the summer months and we rely on
your donations. Thank you.
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Are you going on vacation? If you will be staying in ho-
tels or motels, please consider saving the little
soaps and bottles of shampoo, conditioner and
lotions to donate to Visitation House and Marian
Centre. We will have a tub at the back of the
church to collect these items.
