„LITTLE EUROPEANS KNOW EACH OTHER”
SUMMARY
Przedszkole nr 240 im. Polskich Olimpijczyków Warsaw, Poland
Aims:• improving intercultural dialogue through organizing
nearly forgotten traditional children’s festivals;• learning more about cultural diversity and trying to
understand this concept;• comparing and contrasting pre-school education systems,
exchanging and promoting effective teaching strategies;• showing the link between the past and the present,
stressing the role of national and regional identity in European context;
• motivating to learn modern foreign languages and developing innovative ICT skills;
• supporting teachers in collecting good and useful materials.
Key activities:• preparing a website about the project, its participants
and festivals organised in partner countries;• organising meetings in all participating countries and
giving teachers a chance to exchange experience and information connected with the project;
• participating in all festivals;• preparing exhibitions with materials, photos and
souvenirs brought from particular countries;• teaching children about the culture, history, art and
geography of participating countries;• preparing a book summing up the project, presenting
participating countries and recommending good teaching methods.
EVALUATION
• reports assesing all meetings;• reports showing actvities in particular
countries and project products;• progress report;• a book with activity plans;• a photobook showing the project and its
dimension in Poland ;• summing up the whole project during the
last meeting in June 2013;• final report, publishing the products.

information, helping in organising interesting classes for children, sharing knowledge as experts)
• preparing presentations and activity plans• exchanging experience
Local environment• articles in local press• information on kindergarten’s website• information on the website of local
authorities, including photos from meetings• meeting local authorities while visiting
participating countries• exchanging information and experience while
meeting local teachers and heads of other kindergartens
