LITTLE ACORNS EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (LAEF)Vision: To nurture and develop within the crucible of a leading school, a generation that will play its rolein transforming Nigeria.

Mission: To positively impact our local community one child at a time by providing a first classeducation.

History: LAEF is a visionary model derived from a couple of observations:1. Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole have numerous school age children that cannot be served by thenumber of existing schools.

    2. Our nation is very religious, with myriads of churches and mosques which have facilities that are shutdown during school hours and could be utilised for educating children that would otherwise not go toschool.

Consequently we approached a local church in Ikeja and asked for permission to use their facilities during

school hours to provide quality education for less privileged children. The children would pay a token fee

of N1000 per term and would receive a first class education, uniforms and a nutritious meal each day.Their parents or guardians would also be empowered by sessions of health education and training in skillsacquisition and if competent, eventually gain access to microfinance loans. This is because we believe that our children, like little acorns, have locked within them the potential to

become mighty oaks. LAEF, by God's grace will provide an enabling environment and hopefully inspirethe establishment of similar schools all over our beloved nation.

LAEF is a registered corporate body, registration no: CAC/IT/NO 45374, with 10 trustees.LAEF commenced classes on Monday February 7 2011, with twelve 3 to 5 year olds but we now currently
