The library is a common place for all. While it can be used for socialising, it also can be acts as a medium for learning. Therefore, the availability of spaces for learning and socialising in library is crucial. In addition, Wang (2008) had stated that space planning has a significant role in the library’s existence and growth. Meanwhile, there is a dilemma in the availability of learning spaces in the library as the number of undergraduate’s enrollment in UBD grow. Perception of the learning spaces in the library Cafes in the library Space –enough for socializing; enough for learning – mentality Learning space is important because it not only has the ability to shape the way our mind think (can related to mentality). It is also important because it can create an environment that can affect the effectiveness of stimulating intellectual development. It also maximizes the social interaction.
