Manufacturers' Warranty.

T HE good, manufactured by the Au,tin Motor Company Limited (herein-alter called "the Company") are ,upplied with the following expre""'arranty which exclude, all warmutie' condition, and liabilitie,what,oever implied by Common Law Statute or otherwi," that is to

say:- IIn the event of any defect heing disclo'ed in any part or parts of the goods

and if the part or parts alleged to be defective are returned to the Company',Work, carriage paid within ,ix month, from the date when the good, aredelivered new to the retail customer the Company undertake, to examine'ame and ,hould any fault due to defective material, or workmanship be fouudon examination by the Company it will repair the defective part or supply freeof charge a new part in place thereof. Tbi, Warranty is limited to the deliveryto the purch"er free at the Company', Work, of the part or part, whethernew or repaired in exchange for tho,e acknowledged by the Company to bedefective.

The Company gives no warranty of the good, except as herein ,tated. butde,ire, and expects that cu,tomers shall make a thorough examiuation beforepurch"ing. Pmons dealing iu the Company's goods are in no way the legalAgents of the Company and have no right or authority to a"ume any obli-gation on it, behalf expres, m implied or to bind it in any way.

For the purpose of thi, Warranty the term "goods" means and includes newcars or van, or ch",i, or part, thereof including replacement parts manu-factured by the Company. It does not include tyres 'peedometer, or ElectricalEquipment or uther proprietary article, or good, (including coach work) notof the Company's own manufacture although ,upplied by the Company.Propdetary article, are covered by the warranty (if any) given by the separatemanufacturer,. On 'econd-hand good, no warranty i, given by the Companyor is to be implied.

The Company', re,ponsihility is limited to the terms of this Warranty andit ,hall not be answerable for personal injude, or con,equential or re,ultingliability damage or loss ad,;jng from any defect,. This Warranty shall notapply to defect, cau,ed hy motor racing, wear and tear, or neglect or to thedefect, in any goods which have been altered outside the Company's Worksor which have heen let ant on hire or the identification numbers ut marks onwhich have been altered or removed.

This Warranty is dependent upon the ,trict oliservance by the Purchaserof the following provisions :-

The Purcha,"r shall at the time of purchase personally ,ign the formsupplied by the Company and register his name addre" date of purch"eprice paid and car and cha"is numbers and name and addres, of Seller withthe Company and shall obtain from the Company a signed copy of thi,Warranty and shall produce ",me to the Company's repre,entative forinspection in c"e of any claim being made. This Warranty shall not bea"igned or transferred to anyone unle" the Company's consent in writinghas first been obtained.

The Purchaser shall send to the Company's Works such part or parts as arealleged or claimed to be defective promptly on the di,covery of the claimeddefect, Tran'portation i, to be prepaid by the Purchaser and said part orparts to be properly packed for transit and clearly marked for identificationwith the name and full addre" uf the Purchaser and with the car and cha"isnumbers of the vehicle from which the said part or parts were taken.

The Purch"er ,hall post to the Company at i" Works on or before de,patchof such part or parts alleged to be defective a full and complete descriptiunof the claim and the reason, therefor.

The judgment of the Company ill all c"e, of claims ,hall be final andconclu,ive and the Porch"er agrees to accept its deci,ion on all que,tions "to defect, and to the exchange of part or parh. After the expiration of sixday' from the de'patch of notification of the Company's decision, the partor parts submitted may be ,crapped or returned carriage forward by theCompany.

TERMS OF BUSINESS.

All Austin Agents carry stocks of genuine Austin replacementsand applications for Spare Parts should he made to them. Clfentswill then be certain that the replacement Is made by parts manu-factured by the Austin Company and carrying their high reputationfor quality and workmanshIp.

Corre'pondence with the Company relating to Spare Part,. Acce,"oriesand Replacement' should be addre"ed to the Service Department.

All Price' are "at work," carriage or po'tage extra.

Packing c"e, charged if not returned caniage paid to the Company',work, within 28 days..

Quotatiom hold good for 14 days from date, but tho,e in respect ofproprietary articles are ,uhject to any alteration made by the makers intheir li,t price,.

Ca,h with order, unle" purchaser already has an account with theCumpany or i, ablc to furnish approved refe'encos.

In con,equence'of alterations and improvement" the Company in no wayholds it,elf liable or responsible as to alteration in details in re'pect to ordem.

The Company retains the right of making alterations to this li,t withoutnotice, ,hould it be deemed neco"ary.

Delivery on aay specified date is not guaranteed.

TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE ORDERS.

To protect itself against fraud, the Compauy is compelled to decline todeliver goods ordered by telegram or telephone to the addre" of any person,unknown to it, unle" covered by telegcaphic remittance.

DAMAGE IN TRANSIT.

The Company does not hold ihBlf responsible for goods lost or damagedin transit. All packages. upon receipt. should be signed for as "unexamined,"and in the event of 1o," or damage to the contents, claim made upon th~carriers without delay.
