LIQUEFIED GAS CARRIERS
Why we use LIQUEFIED state?
Gas cargoes are carried in liquefied state.
Because the liquid occupies up to 850 times less
volume.
How can we LIQUIFIED the gas?
• Increasing the Pressure
• Reducing the Temperature
Type of Liquefied Gases?
• LPG - Liquefied Petroleum Gas• LNG - Liquefied Natural Gas• LEG - Liquefied Ethylene Gas• NH3 - Ammonia• Cl2 - Chlorine• Chemical gases
Etc………
Type of Gas Carriers
• Fully Pressurized Ships
• Semi-Refrigerated/Semi-Pressurized Ships
• Semi-Pressurized/Fully Refrigerated Ships
• Fully refrigerated LPG Ships
