Camp Kanga is located inland from Proserpine, Queensland.
Cost : $745.00
Camp Kanga will be limited to 40 participants from overseas
aged between 16 and 21. Applications close 30 April 2013.

Day: Trip to the Dam for water skiing, tubing and canoeing
Night: Introduction to the Great Barrier Reef

Day: Day trip to Great Barrier Reef for snorkelling. (scuba diving and Helicopter joy

Each night there will also be country presentations and activities too many to mention but you assured a lot of fun.
Even though the days are jam packed there will be free time squashed in there and time for your concert preparation.

Camp and homestay rules apply in accordance with Lions Youth Exchange and International Youth Camp policies.
Internet reception is not available at Camp Kanga
Camp Kanga is a drug and alcohol free camp.
English is the official language of the Camp
Youth should have moderate or good language skills
Physical activities will be on the program
Base of Peter Faust Dam, via Proserpine, Queensland
22 km (20 minutes) west of Proserpine township
Camp Kanga is held during winter in Australia
Temperatures vary from 12 – 25oC
Nights are cooler so some warm clothing is appropriate, days are generally warm

Toiletries
Closed in shoes and comfortable footwear
Hat and sunscreen
Swimmers (bathers, togs) and Beach towel
We will provide bedding, pillows and bath towel
Overseas students can apply for Camp Kanga through their local Lions Club and Lions District Youth Exchange

Only students from countries participating in the Australian Youth Exchange Program are eligible to apply.
Australian applicants should contact their local Lions Club
Camp Kanga accepts youth aged between 16 and 21 as at 20th July 2013
Once applicant has been accepted into the program a camp registration for will be emailed (please ensure a
current email address is on your International application) by Camp Kanga
Forms should be typewritten or handwritten clearly. A valid registration form must have all of the required
information and signatures before it can be accepted.
Camp Fee must accompany the registration form please
