How come we all believe McDonalds is bad for us? We all believe what the media tells us to believe. If they tell us that sharks are bad, and we will be eaten if we get in the water... we won’t get in the water. If they tell us McDonalds is bad, then we just say ok, McDonalds is bad. The lesson here is that manipulation in the media creates reality. This is especially true in “sound bite” media. More than ever now what sound bites are what dominate our media. This is why people on Facebook post more pictures than LIKE stuff. People like posts with images, not just wordings. A big one is Twitter and celebrities it is a place where they can just throw out a sound bite. This is why Instagram is now BIGGER than Twitter… because the visual image is a sound bite. What is happening in social media is that it is becoming more and more specialized. Where is the social site with the key influencers “talent seekers” and high end business professionals?

Picture this. Someone goes to LinkedIn and does a search. What captures their eye is the profile picture. That draws them in. They click through... and then they land on your 3 sentences presale. Then they decide they want to buy from you… all they need now is your call to action, so they know where to buy. The three best calls to action are:

LinkedIn shows you who has viewed your profile. This is someone who came to you. These are the most pre-qualified leads you can ever get. To get to them, click on who’s viewed you. You can message them and follow up with them. With the free account, you will be able to see the last 5 viewers. With a paid account, you will be able to see everyone who has looked so; eventually you will want to get the paid account on LinkedIn. It is $29.99 a month and worth every penny. This is the trend. LinkedIn is really encouraging this strategy. Why? They want more money from the premium membership. Their goal is to have 5 MILLION users on the paid platform.

Secret Tactic On LinkedIn, find your exact targeted audience and then start viewing their LinkedIn profiles. They are being taught to come back and check out your profile to see why you looked at them… BINGO! They land on your call to action! I find when you view 100 profiles; on average 7 will view you back to see who you are… especially when you have the authority logos in your profile pic. When they come back to your profile, they will land, of course, right on your profile where you have your 3 things all set up to solve their needs. Ready to capture their attention, sounds easy, right? Time intensive? Maybe! Do you think I sit here all day long every day manually viewing people’s profiles? No, way. There is a WAY better way than doing this manually. Core Concept: If you do the same repetitive task over and over again... there is ALWAYS a better way to do it. So imagine this. Pushing a button, and automatically sending out profile views to not 100 but viewed 1000 exact target

audience profiles. Now if you get a 7 percent return coming back and viewing yours... you will have 70 people. This is how you scale. LinkedIn is a search engine. If you know how to rank at the top of LinkedIn, this is an additional way to get exposure. People are not searching on LinkedIn for people, they are looking for services. The most common searches on LinkedIn are for SEO, Social Media, Speaker, Author Consultant and Web Designers. If you are doing any of those things, than you need to be utilizing LinkedIn. I got my friend Viveka to the TOP of search results for “Social Media Speaker” and as a result she received a speaking gig all expenses paid + $10,000 cash trip to Cabo. She spoke 1 hour one day and one hour on a panel the second day. They chose her because of those media logos.

How do you get to the top of the results? After hours and hours of testing, I can tell you. The algorithm comes down to is this:

Now if you put your keyword phrases, in to all of these places you will get a maximum ranked score and you will rank on LinkedIn. There is one more important concept that you need to understand as well… LinkedIn is built on the concept of 3 degrees of separation. Your total network is those three numbers combined.

Do you get how this affects you? The person who wins on LinkedIn is the person who shows up at the top of the search results and has the most connections. The quality is in the quantity. You need to build your network out. But how? Would you like me to give you a short cut? Add a super connector!

SUPER CONNECTORS! As you can see I am just about at the max for my connections. The max connections on LinkedIn are 30,000 peoples. If you find people like Greig, who are super connectors, you can grow your network very quickly. Just a handful of super connectors is all you need to skyrocket your connections. However, LI has taken away the ability to search for super connectors. You can’t just search and find them anymore. The people who had these super connections before, did get to keep them though.

Remember you were asking me how you were going to get those logos? The media is looking for experts on topics they can get quotes from for their articles. However, if you’ve never been in the media before why is it unlikely they will contact you? You are a risk! If you come on the show and you screw it up... they get fired. Your Pay to Play Strategy How do you get quoted on these networks in the first place? It’s called a Media citation. You PAY to get yourself quoted on the major media sites. This is the most profitable business strategy.

I use the site www.ToprecommendedProfessionals.com. All you need to do here is pay them to get you quoted by a major media site. This strategy works so much better than a press release. There are numerous examples form people just like yourself doing this to create authority and exposure. This is so huge! Once you do get published on each site, you can start to use the logo on your marketing materials everywhere you post them; images, flyers, every single marketing piece you put out.

. Media Citations are the ULTIMATE media authority. Getting published by all FOUR of these... is eliminating all your competition. You will benefit from the media authority no matter where you are in your business. No matter where in the world you live, you want to be quoted on these sites.
