LINK BUILDING- USING SEARCH STRING

To find .edu sites where we could place a relevant comment use the following search string and paste into browser.

1. Site: .edu in url:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in" "Insert keyword phrase here"

2. Use SEO Quake to determine PR of returned pages - select pages with PR 1 or greater (obviously, the higher PR page the better)

3. Occasionally, it is not possible to comment because of the manner in which the site was 'found' - this is a protection against spam. In these circumstances simply copy the URL and enter this directly into the search bar.

4. Read the post; check its subject matter is DIRECTLY relevant to the niche or subject we are promoting. Post a relevant comment. Use a name to post with. Don’t re-use the blog for comments promoting a specific domain more than 3 times in stotal and no more often than one every 4 months - the domain will get flagged as spam otherwise and comments will be disallowed.

5. Go to Pingomatic .com and ping the URL of the blog page where you have placed your comment

NOTE: To find such blogs and sites in a specific geography, modify the extension parameter

e.g. site:.edu is valid internationally but site:.ac.uk will provide university sites, and a search for site:.edu.au will return the local .edu file extention for that geography

Similarly, .gov.uk will find only UK based .gov sites

6. High quality backlinks are the most effective and the ones which provide the highest SEO authority to your sites. And also, diversity is vital in SEO, so the more backlinks you can get from different sites the better it will be for SEO – so we really need to be aiming for one link per domain as far as we can; contextual backlinks as part of content have more SEO weight.

8. But you can also find a ton of non edu sites with this same technique. Just change .edu for .com or .org or .net site:.com “best weight loss program” site:.org “anti aging face cream” site:.net ” rheumatoid arthritis treatment”

9. Different .edu platforms have different search strings as their standard, and substituting these phrases may find additional potential sites where a link could be built. site:.edu “Please create an account to get started” site:.edu/community/register.php?do=register site:.edu/blogs/register/ site:.edu “Please create an account to get started” site:.edu/blogs/members/ site:.edu “You can also create an account” site:.edu “create new account” “Recent blog posts”

NOTE: Remember that whenever you are searching in Google you must have patience. With patience we’ll get whatever we want.
