Testimony from a LINK Participant My personal involvement with the Native American LINK Ministry has included opportunities to give, serve, train, learn and be on mission together with other Native American ladies, churches, as-sociations and communities. These opportunities have grown me in women’s leadership, missions understanding, team work, and in my relationship with the Lord. LINK recently provided me an opportunity to be a part of mission work in Northwest Territory, Canada on the Hay River Reserve. We were the hands and feet of Jesus to First Nations Canadian women and others, who needed the hope found only in Jesus. What an amazing experience that God used to speak to my heart and confirm direction that I had been in prayer about. I am ever so thankful to LINK and whole-heartedly believe in their ministry purpose.—Priscilla Arneecher

Kelly King , BGCO Women’s Ministry & Missions Specialist Leaving Oklahoma

I have been so humbled & honored over the past 11 years to have the privilege of serving Oklahoma Bap-tists & especially our Native American churches & wom-en. It has always been a special honor to visit your churches & especially hear the Native Praise Choir. My heart has swelled with pride at national WMU events when the choir was fea-tured. You represent our state well. When I arrived at the BGCO, I had little knowledge of LINK, although I had met Willene Pierce at previous events. What an honor to partner first with Willene & now with Gus as the LINK ministry seeks to build rela-tionships among Native Americans & spread the Gospel. My prayer is that you would continue to seek the Lord with all your heart & love others into the King-dom. I look forward to staying in touch with you as I move to LifeWay Christian Re-sources. I’m confident the Lord will provide new & exciting ways for us to part-ner together for the cause of Christ. Blessings, Kelly

From the Director…. One of the best aspects of the LINK ministry is knowing that I’m not in this alone. I know God is very present, but oh, how wonderful it is when He provides participants who love the Lord and are ready to serve at a moment’s notice. The summer was full. The National WMU Celebration was, indeed, a June highlight. Ms. Wanda Lee will al-ways be a friend to our Native American women, & Native Praise Choir was honored to be a small part of her final meeting in St. Lou-is, MO. LINK continues moving west, serving through song & deed in Western Oklahoma. Mike & I were blessed to go with our small church mission to Cheyenne River, South Dakota in July, to help in building a home, and setting up a school library. Once again, Indian Falls Creek was rich in providing Bible Study, mission stories and focus on the reality of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) among our people. In August, LINK volunteers accompanied missionary/pastor, Rev. Jimmy Anderson, and Rev. Don Tiger, Andy & Bill An-derson to Hay River Reserve, NW Territory, Canada. Four women served as encouragers to our Canadian sisters, as well as singing for nightly services. We could not have accomplished so much with-out your support of resources, prayer, and even volunteering. Thank you beyond words. The work goes on….

Appreciate the Pastor’s Wife by Shirley Falls

Several years ago at Indian Falls Creek, a time was set aside to celebrate all the pastors’ wives. On Wednes-day afternoon, a couple of hours is focused on this special group of women. These women work hard & many times go unnoticed, & too often, they are not rec-ognized for their work. Our goal is to pamper them with love, laughter, fun, food, fellowship & send them home with gifts. It’s a way to say thank you. We have some pastors’ wives who have been coming since the begin-ning, some have gone to our heavenly home & then, we have new ones. If you or your church have not done something special for your pastors’ wife, would you consider showing her your love & appreciation in some way? Thank you to the LINK organization for sponsor-ing this event.
