SUMMARY

I . Project Title

Linear Thermal Expansion Coefficient Measurement Technology in

Hot- Cell

II. Objective and Importance of The Project

Linear Thermal Expansion Coefficient data are very important and

basis factor for evaluating safety and economic analysis. Reliable linear

thermal expansion data of nuclear fuel and material related to nuclear

pressure vessel are necessary and dominant component for nuclear reactor

management, operation and design. To establish linear thermal expansion

coefficient measurement technology in hot cell, The measurement

technology shall be sufficient to assure acceptable accuracy and precision.

In addition to, The apparatus should be meeted to hot cell operating

condition and necessary requirement. So that We want to study and

review various measuring technology by paper and review the data

produced with pre-installed dilatometer in hot cell. We want to assure

possibility of measurement for neutron irradiated materials.

HI. Scopes and Contents of The Project

To establish linear thermal expansion coefficient measurement

technology in hot cell, We reviewed and evaluated various measuring

technology by paper and these were compared with the data produced

- Review of characteristics for various measurement technology and

compatibility hot cell.
