Welcome to Beam 2012!We are excited…very excited … Summer is here and with it comes Lincoln’s very own festival for children, young people and their families…. beam! is here.
Lincoln beam! 2012 is packed to the rafters with family fun…from the now eagerly anticipated launch event on Saturday 30 June when the city centre becomes a riot of colour, music and laughter... kicking off with a street procession from Lincoln Drill Hall winding through the centre to CitySquare followed by a full day of juggling, singing, dancing andgenerally showing off!
On Sunday 1 July Lincoln beam! 2012 takes over Lincoln PerformingArts Centre (LPAC) for fabulously fun family festivities involving all kinds of special activities, performances and workshops.
Over 25 schools are travelling to Lincoln to perform at Lincoln beam! 2012. The city centre once again provides Lincolnshire’s young people a platform to perform on. Lincolnshire truly has got talent!
It’s 2012 and you know what that means… the eyes of the world are firmly on the UK, and Lincoln BIG is delighted to be working with the authorities to bring the Olympic Torch to Lincoln ensuring we get our slice of the international limelight. Look out for the Olympic Torch on 27 June.
This year the festival is supported by Cool Milk. Take a few minutes to look through this brochure and make sure to get a few events into your diary.
