We feel honored and privileged to kindly invite every table tennis organization and individual to come to Hochiminh city - Vietnam joining in 2015 - 9th Asia -Pacific Veteran Table Tennis Championships held in Hochiminhcity – Vietnam from December 2 through 6, 2015. You will be warmly welcome to Hochiminh city, Vietnam to join in the contest as scheduled as follows:

1. Organized by: Hochiminh City –VietnamThe Culture – Sport Department and the Table Tennis Federation of Hochiminh city directly conduct the event organization.

2. Supported by: 1. People’s Committee of Hochiminh City 2. Asia - Pacific Table Tennis Veteran Union (APTTVU). 3. Venue: Phu Tho Gymnasium

- 1 Lu Gia street or/and 221 Ly Thuong Kiet street, ward 15, District 11, HCMC4. Date/Time: From 2 through 6 December 2015

- 2 December 2015: 19:00 team leader meeting at Phu Tho Gymnasium’s conference room

- Opening Ceremony at 08:30 on 3 December 2015 at Phu Tho Gymnasium- 3- 6 December 2015: From 9:00 to 18:00 for competition.- Award ceremony and farewell party at 19:00 on 6 December at Hoa Vien Phu

Tho Restaurant (in short walking distance from the stadium)5. Entrance Eligibility: The Tournament is open to all people over the world who are

forty years old or above (born on 31 December 1975 or before) can join in this contest. 6. Events and Age categories:

- Women’s and Men’s teams & Singles, aged 40 - 49years- Women’s and Men’s teams & Singles, aged 50 - 59 years- Women’s and Men’s teams & Singles, aged 60 - 69 years- Women’s and Men’s teams & Singles, aged 70 – 79 years - Women’s and Men’s teams & Singles, aged 80 and over

7. Competition format:7.1. Single events:

7.1.1. Knock –out system will be used with play-offs for top four (Champion and runners up)

7.1.2. If there will be less than 8 entries in any category, players will automatically play in the next younger category

7.2. Team events: will be played in 2 stages: 7.2.1. The group round-robin system will be used in the qualifying round (the

group stage games) (stage 1).7.2.2. The Knock-out system will be used in stage 2 with play-offs.7.2.3. The Men’s Team events shall be played using the swaythling system

as follow: A vs X, B vs Y, C vs Z, A vs Y, B vs X. (Minimum 3 and Maximum 4 players)

7.2.4. The Women’s Team events shall be played using the Corbillon system as follow : A vs X, B vs Y, Doubles, A vs Y, B vs X. (Minimum 2 and Maximum 4 players)

7.2.5. If there will be less than 4 entries in any category, teams will automatically play in the next younger category.

7.3. All team matches and single matches shall be played to the best of Five (5) games.

8. Rules:8.1. The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the latest ITTF

regulation for international competition.

8.2. Proof of age must be available upon request.

8.3. Player is allowed to participate in ONLY ONE age category.

8.4. Player is allowed to participate in the younger age category.

8.5. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations of this tournament at any time without prior notification. Any other rules that are not covered by this bulletin will be decided by the Organizing Committee whose decision will be FINAL.

9. Cancellation and walkover:Teams/players those are late by more than fifteen (15) minutes from the time of calling as according to the fixture and schedule are deemed to have to concede a walkover to the teams/players that are present.

10. Protests and complaints:


An appeal committee shall be set up by the Organizing Committee to consider all protests and complaints. Such protests must be submitted in writing not later than thirty (30) minutes after the incident together with a deposit of USD 100.In the case that the protest is upheld, the deposit will be refunded. Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable. The decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final.

11. Equipment: All equipment used for event competition are ones of Nittaku brand with the ITTF standards (tables, premium 40+ white balls, nets, post set, scoreboards, surrounds …).

12. Competition Draw: will be conducted on 10 November 2015 (Tuesday) at 14:00 pm at the conference room of the Phu Tho Gymnasium.

13. Prizes: Total cash prizes: US$ 9.500 as follows:

13.1 . Single Events: Top four (4) players in each category will be awarded with medals. The Champion will also be presented with a trophy and cash prizes as follows.

13.2. Team Events: Top four (4) teams in each category will be awarded with medals, the Champion will be presented with a trophy and cash prizes as follows:

Champion USD. 400 1st Runner Up USD. 200

2nd Runner Up USD. 100 2nd Runner Up USD. 100

14. Expenses:All participants shall be responsible for their own expenses, including air tickets, meals and accommodation.

Note: - These fees are the net costs, exclusive of Bank TT charges.- Please remind that the Bank TT charge is quite high around 25US$ for per

Gymnasium). 20. Reservation:

- All players agree and understand that the organizers and host country only organize the table tennis tournament. Any accident, health issues and etc…shall be at their own risk, own insurance as well as own medical expenses.
