For the first meeting, our team met up with Mr Japit for a brief introduction of the agenda in this project. We have to understand the time plan and requirements made for the project. We have decided on the different roles for each members and I was assigned as the documenter to handle all the documentation. We had mini introduction among ourselves to know each other better and able to work together for the next three months. Did you do any work? Yes/No? If yes, what did you do? Yes. Yes. For the first meeting, our team met up with Mr Japit for a brief introduction of the agenda

Yes. I produce a timeline for the project proposal. It is important to have a timeline so that my
team and I can have a clear view of which milestone and how our progression goes in our
project.
Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If

There are many different kinds of timeline samples on the internet which I had took quite a
while to decide and make edits to the design with the project interest.

Yes, I planned out the timeline according to project needs and the four phrases of RUP that we
are supposed to follow.

Yes. I have to prepare the information and write up for Stakeholder and Development
Methodology under preliminary project document.

Mr Japit came down and brief with our team so our concept of whole project is clearly
understood after further clarifications. I produce a data dictionary model design and link the
different attributes according to their rules.
Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If
yes, write down what they were.
One main problem is understood of the function working in our project to expand the ideas
into the model diagram. For example naming convention must be very clear to prevent mix up.
The diagram must be ensured that functionalities are all up before working on it.
Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong?
Yes. My team mates and I discussed during the meeting about how our functions going to
work and finalized it before drawing out the Data Dictionary Model.

Yes, to think of the main constraints and proofread on the Requirement Specification
Document.

Yes, I did a powerpoint slide for the presentation of prototype demonstration for 29 December
2012.
Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If

Yes. With the presentation about our preliminary prototype, we have to know what we have to
present and what the contents to put in the powerpoint slides are. However, there are constant
changes in our prototypes to meet the requirement of our projects.

Next session will be on the 30th Meeting with the members. We will be touching on the
construction phrase and continue with the development. During the meeting, all members will
be tasked to do different works based on their strength and weakness.

Yes. As we are progressing to the next stage, our team has to continue working on the
development and do unit testing. We have decided on QT creator as our integration
development environment. Therefore it is important to get the basics of handling C++ and
using of tools as all members are new to QT creator.
I have to download QT creator from the internet and try on the platform using the tools to
design UI.
Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If
yes, write down what they were.
Yes. There are a few issues faced. First would be the unfamiliarity of using tools and widgets. I
have to understand how it works before implement it to the graphic user interface.
Second would be, to work this platform in Ubuntu which is more tedious. The laptop tends to
lag and slow down.

Yes. Time management was well made and control.

I have to done with the design of GUI and further discuss with my team mates again.

Yes. I had done with the GUI application but continuously do edit to it.

Yes. GUI application has to constantly change for better features. Modification of interface
banner. The overall user-friendliness of the interface must be up to standard.

I have to try and test the program and validations.

Yes. I continue to improve the design of Design of UI include the widgets, templates and
buttons while implementers are programming functionalities. Furthermore, I handle the
documentation and make edits with the technical design documents.

Yes.

Yes. I have to test the program and also the validations. I have to think of additional features
and more validations.

Yes. I proofread the documents for the submission on 19 January. I also did the buttons and
validations for more features.

It is hard to compile the dairies as everyone do them in different ways and date.

During compilation with Jia Hui and Jun Xiang’s work, there is compilation error, modification
problem which causes me to delay progress.

I have to redesign the logo and banner for a more professional look.
