The field of Fashion Merchandising touches on virtually every facet of the industry, from concept ideation to product computer aided design and development to textiles, manufacturing, and retail. Its main focus, though, is on understanding and influencing consumer behavior by enhancing the look and appeal of a range of fashion products.
As a Fashion Merchandising major at LIM College, you will choose from a range of courses that prepare you to identify fashion trends, develop lines of merchandise, conduct and analyze research, and understand consumer attitudes. Those graduating with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Fashion Merchandising can choose a track in either Apparel and Accessories or Home Fashions. And, you will graduate with a keen understanding of what it takes to be successful in the retail and fashion industry.
