August 31, 2018 Lily Lake Grade School Newsletter Welcome and Welcome Back! We have had a great start to the school year at Lily Lake! Students spent last week geng to know the building and classroom rounes as well as making and meeng new friends and staff. It was great meeng parents and families at Meet and Greet as students enjoyed catching up with old and new friends and at Parent Night! Thank you PTC for sponsoring popsicles to kick off our new school year! Lily Lake Grade School During the week of September 10th Lily Lake Students will be celebrang Roald Dahl’s birthday! Look for more informaon to come home next week with details about how students can celebrate and contribute to Roald Dahl’s passion to help fund research for Pediatric Cancer. In an effort to support this cause, Lily Lake Grade School has teamed up with Cal’s Angels, a local charity, and will be collecng donaons that help to provide children with Pediatric Cancer an opportunity to fulfill their childhood wishes and dreams. Lily Lake students may choose to bring their pennies to contribute to Classroom Penny Wars where all proceeds will go directly to Cal’s Angels. On September 13th stu- dents who make a donaon of any kind may dress up like their favorite Roald Dahl story character! On September 14th students are invited to aend the Central High School football game at home against Woodstock and wear gold, or their Cal’s Angel’s shirt! The Central Soccer Stadium is located behind HBT Elementary School located behind Central High
School. Enter off Plato Road, go past High School and park at Howard B. Thomas elementary school.
There are bleachers, but you are welcome to bring your own chairs.
