  1. 1. 77 JULY JULY 18, 8 A.M. NEW HOLLAND BICYCLE RACE At just over 50 miles of rolling hills and speedy descents, this open-road course is sure to fuel any bikers adrenaline. Cash prizes will be rewarded to the rst ve cyclists to reach the nish line. There is also an alternative 30-mile route for intermediate cyclists, but there are no prizes. This race will be held again on October 10; same time, same place, but with a more difficult route. GET THERE | Community Memorial Park, 400 East Jackson St. New Holland, Pa. JULY 26, 9 A.M. FIXED GEAR FONDO & SINGLE SPEED OPEN This 50-mile ride through Bucks County offers a variety of terrain, from leisurely ats to steep climbs and descents. Upon completion of the ride, cyclists will enjoy a cold beer on the house at Vault Brewing Company, where prizes will be raffled off and food will be available. GET THERE | Race begins behind FireHouse Cycles, 15 S. Main St., Yardley, Pa. AUGUST AUGUST 8, 8 A.M. CHOCOLATE TOUR The Chocolate Tour consists of a 5K and 10K walk, a 10K race, and a collec- tion of cycling events for cyclists of all skill levels. There are six routes, which range from 10 to 100 miles in length. Proceeds support cancer research at Penn State University. GET THERE | Milton S. Hershey School Athletic Complex, 665 Brook Dr. Hershey, Pa. SEPTEMBER SEPTEMBER 6, 7:30 A.M. BRANDYWINE TOUR Cyclists will ride through the Brandywine River Valley, crossing creeks and speeding down rolling hills that were once walked by Revolutionary War troops. Participants can choose from ve routes, ranging from 26 to 100 miles in length. GET THERE | Pocopson Elementary School, 1105 Pocopson Rd., West Chester, Pa. SEPTEMBER 19, 7-10 A.M.* TOUR DE FARM This ride is a unique combination of a cycling and tasting tour. Cyclists will begin the day with a gourmet farmers breakfast before starting their tour that will take them to a wide variety of locations throughout the Garden States countryside. With three different routes of 5, 35, and 78 miles, there is a route for everyone. After a day of snacking and exploring alpaca farms, farmers markets, and community gardens, cyclists will reach the nish line at Race Farm with a new appreciation for local food. For an additional fee, participants can enjoy a farm-to-fork celebration after they nish their ride. GET THERE | Race Farm, 87 Belcher Rd., Blairstown, N.J. OCTOBER OCTOBER 3-4, 8:30 a.m. BIKE MS: CITY TO SHORE RIDE Seven thousand cyclists will ride together to raise awareness and donations for the ght against multiple sclerosis. Choose to participate in one or both days of the event, with routes ranging from 25 to 100 miles for single-day cyclists, and 80- or 100-mile route options for those who commit to the whole weekend. Each cyclist is required to raise at least $300 in donations in order to participate. USE THE TIME TO LOCATE THE MECHANICS PIT OR SUPPORT VEHICLES, FIRST-AID TENT, AND PRECISE LOCATION OF THE FINISH LINE. TRY TO GET TO THE STARTING LINE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE GO TIME, AND LISTEN CLOSELY TO PRE-RACE INSTRUCTIONS SPECIFIC TO THE EVENT AND COURSE.
