1º WITHSTAND CURRENT*: Applying 10 current pulses with wave lightning 10/350 µs, amplitude of 100 kA and specific energy greater than 2.5 MJ / Ω. According to IEC 61083-1 and IEC 60060-1.2º ADVANCE TIME*:Applying 100 discharge pulses, the procedure set forth in Annex “Evaluation Test of a ESE” of the UNE 21186, NFC 17102 and NP 4426.

The DELTA RP lightning rod has exceeded tests stipulated in the regulations of the AENOR RP 58.01 to early streamer emission.

* The tests have been carried out by the Institute for Energy Technology (ITE), and have been performed on the same air terminals consecutively with the aim of assuring its proper working after withstanding repetitive lightning currents.

PROTECTION RADII CALCULATED WITH ASSURANCE TRIPLE PROTECTION FACTOR, WITH UNCERTAINTY OF 10 μs.

STANDARD COMPLIANCE:The DELTA RP lightning rod complies with all national and international regulations for early streamer emission air terminal.RADIO PROTECTION:Protection radii calculated according to: CTE, UNE 21186, NFC 17102 and NP 4426.

It achieves a maximum deviation of 5% in the advance time performed according to RP 58.01 AENOR, which guarantees the stability of the lightning rod.

In order to provide greater assurance of protection and as a result of the research and R & D developed the lightning rod DELTA RP ESE incorporates the following new technologies.

Maintains permanently isolated the electrodes of the lightning rod wich have to be at a different potential; ensuring lightning rod operation in extreme wet conditions.

Allows quick deionization arc chamber, which ensures that the lightning rod is in perfect condition to capture a new discharge.

Maintains proper tension between the electrodes of the lightning rod that are at different potential, ensuring its perfect running.

In the early streamer emission lightning rod is essential to ensure the insulation between the plates or electrodes that form and are at different potentials.

If adverse weather conditions (heavy rain) this isolation is lost, the triggering device would stop working and therefore can not provide lightning rod protection specified.

The DELTA RP lightning rod ensures operation of triggering device and its effectiveness in protecting thanks to the insulating sleeves “Isolated Rain”, which ensures complete isolation between the electrodes in heavy rain conditions.

The system “Isolated Rain” ensures total isolation in extreme wet conditions, provided by the insulating sleeves that surround the electrodes must permanently maintain the insulation, which prevents rain electrical contact between the metal body of the lightning rod (at potential atmospheric) with the metal shaft (at ground potential).

Installation

The DELTA RP lightning rod installation must be performed as described in the Technical Building Code (CTE) and the UNE 21186, NFC 17102 and NP 4426.
