Lighting Plan The Tea Boy A Film by Hamim Tak

In my film I have used soft lighting overall with lighting patterns changing according to the scene and intensity of the scene.

I shot my first scene during night time as I wanted the scene to be dark with low-key lighting to create a dramatic effect and to create curiosity amongst the viewers. In the next scene I used high-key lighting to depict an normal office environment. In my third scene I have used low-key lighting to show a depressing sort of atmosphere and drama. For my fourth scene I used low key white lights to show that it is night time and the scene takes place just before bedtime. In my fifth scene I used high-key lighting to indicate that it is a scene which involves a fantasy and also that it is a happy scene. In my fourth scene I have used low-key and high-key lighting. I parked the car under a yellow street light trying to show that it is late at night and for the second

part I used high-key white lights to show a happy place for the character. For my sixth scene I used low key lighting to show drama other emotions for sadness and I used my car’s headlight to shine light on the character at night as well which was a yellow light indicating sadness. For my last scene I used low-key lighting at first to create curiosity and depression and after revealing the mystery person I used high-key lighting by adding a extra led light in the room.
