THE LIA LOGO

The LIA logo is the most direct and effective asset in communicating the brand. It is an important graphic identifier of the brand identity and must be treated with care and respect to maintain its value.

There are two logos available

Horizontal

Stacked

Both logos should appear on either a white background or on the LIA grey band (see p12). The horizontal logo is preferred and should be used in most instances.

LOGO CLEAR SPACE

To ensure its visibility and impact, the LIA logo should always be surrounded by a minimum clear space. This area should be free of other graphic elements or text.

The clear space around the logo is defined by the letter ‘e’.

The same clear space applies to the LIA Laboratory logo and the LIA Academy logo.

THE LIAQA LOGO SUITE

The LIAQA logo has been designed as a tab, in three different formats and 3 different colours. The logo has been made as flexible as possible for all members to use across packaging and marketing materials. Please choose whichever logo best suits your needs.

There are 3 logos formats available

The black and white monochone logo must only be used for one colour print runs.

The LIAQA logo can only be applied to, or refer to products from the category that has been assessed and approved during the LIAQA audit, for example: compliance to the Commercial luminaires module will permit the use of LIAQA logo for the Commercial luminaire product category only.

LIAQA accreditation status including the accredited modules is shown for each member on the LIAQA website.

The LIAQA team will happily provide further guidance regarding logo usage.

HOW TO APPLY THE LIAQA LOGO

The logo can be added in one of four places.

- Either top left or right, using the vertical tab.- Bottom left using the Horizontal Left Hand tab.- Bottom right using the Horizontal Right Hand tab.

Vertical Horizontal Right HandHorizontal Left Hand

Choose the colour that best suits your design and creates the best stand out. In this instance, if the packaging was predominantly red, the blue LIAQA logo would have been used instead.

Where possible the LIAQA logo should always to placed at the edge of the artboard and appear as a tab. Bleed will need to be added to your artwork as required.

COLOUR PALETTE

The LIA brand colours effectively communicate, establish and represent the brand.

There are individual colour palettes for the different LIA sectors. To ensure brand consistency and to identity one sector from another, each colour palette must be strictly adhered to.

This page outlines the colours to be used for each of the LIA sectors.

Tints of the primary colours can be used to highlight information, graphs and charts.

E-NEWSLETTER

The LIA e-newsletter is a powerful marketing and communication tool that has various useful functions. It reminds customers about the LIA, tells them about the LIA services and it lets them know whats been happening. It all helps to build the relationship between the LIA and clients.

It’s important that the e-newsletters look visually appealing and contain relevant, interesting content. The LIA don’t want to bore or spam their clients.

The e-newsletter is constructed of 4 sections and the following pages explain how to construct and use them to their full potential.

SECTION ONEHero article

SECTION THREENews/events

SECTION TWOSecondary articles

SECTION FOURFooter

E-NEWSLETTER - SECTION ONE

Section one - Hero articleThe hero section at the top of the e-newsletter contains the main story, i.e. a big event or important industry news.

The content needs to be interesting, the headline needs to be attention grabbing and the image needs to draw the reader in.

A short overview paragraph gives the reader an idea of what is contained within the article. If they are interested then a button links them to the full article. It is recommended that the overview paragraph contains no more than 200 characters.

It is also recommended that the height of section one is no more than 450-500 pixels long. This way readers will be aware of the additional content below.

E-NEWSLETTER - SECTION TWO

Section two - Secondary articlesThis is where the LIA let their customer know about everything else that’s been happening in the company and in the industry.

These articles should be features as pairs. They can then be stacked to make a quadrant depending on how many articles need to be featured.

Each story should contain a snippet of text and be accompanied by good quality image. This will let customers scan read the content and make it easier for them to find the news and information they are most interested in. If they want to find out more, the full article is just a click away.

This section of the e-newletter allows you to easily populate the member and industry news with simple headlines that link to full articles.
